The Cost of Trusting the Wrong Heart
The Cost of Trusting the Wrong Heart
Humans are actually born to seek refuge. It is like an essential habit of their soul, a kind of weakness from which they can never be free. Since childhood, we have learned to walk and holding someone's hand, to cry on someone's shoulder, to look into someone's eyes and seek for comfort. So subconsciously, we want to trust throughout our lives. Sometimes, with a little love, sometimes just the charm of a beautiful smile, and sometimes with a touch of a drop of compassion, we unknowingly fall to our knees.
We tell ourselves over and over again—we are experienced, we are strong, we cannot be broken again. But in fact, deep inside each of us there remains a soft part, the part that secretly seeks refuge, wants dependence. And that dependence pushes us down the wrong path. Because people often trust the wrong people, the wrong things.
Why is this so? Because lies are very clever. Lies are very elaborate. Lies have a strange charm—they are colorful, they know stories, they know how to weave a web of promises. He touches people's unfulfilled dreams with a little affection, as if everything can come true. That's why people get so easily caught in the trap of lies.
Truth is not like that. Truth is shameless, shamelessly straightforward. It has no colorful decorations, no pomp. Truth is hard to accept , and sometimes even cruel. That's why it doesn't seem attractive at first. But still, truth has stability inside, a peace like a solid foundation—which lies can never give.
Although lies initially give comfort, give people temporary relief, behind that comfort lies sighing, deception, and emptiness. When we face the truth, we understand that the most painful thing is the faith that we put in the wrong place.
Therefore, before trusting, it is important to develop the ability to understand not only the person, but also the real thing inside them. Because lies can temporarily show light, but truth is the only light that shows the way through darkness and permanently.
