S24W6: Portraits
If I am good, tell me I am🤦. I know a lot will be surprised at this, the same way my friend @wakeupkitty was. Very soon I will tell a story of when I began drawing and how I decided to utilize this God-given talent; just stay active. Friends, today I decided to take a more realistic approach to my drawing. It took me less than 2 hours to bring this to completion since I was very intentional in making sure what I obtained here is an exact replica since I aim at 100%. This alone has left me in awe of my creativity.
Since the contest post said we should draw a portrait, the idea of drawing a portrait of a Steemian popped up in my mind, and I chose to draw @alejos7ven. I just believe he will feel good about this. An official/full presentation of this work of art will be done soon.

The first step I took was drawing my guidelines. I used 3cm as the displacement from one end to another, and then I began drawing the curved area of the face. The reason why I drew this curved surface area was because I wanted to ensure a proper positioning of the face before proceeding, as this drawing is very different from a regular imaginary drawing, in which any shape of the face could be drawn.

After positioning the face perfectly by drawing from the ear down and then up to the same point on the other end, I took my pencils upward to the hair region. I drew from where I stopped upward. The lining and the curls need to be taken bit by bit; the guideline really helped here. I made some traces in this hair region to really define the direction of these curves.

After that was the brow. To me, it was as if I failed here. I was extremely careful throughout the other steps, but this time I couldn't help it, and my eraser had to come in on the brows. The face positioning is a bit slanted, and the other brow should appear a little bit smaller and slanty.

Next were the eyes, and I took the curves very important. I was very careful to observe that the eyes were narrowed, and I had to follow these steps carefully.

The nose, to me, was a bit simple; the only calculative thing here was to measure the distance at which I should position the nose from the eye, since it is centralized.
Lastly was the mouth, which was also centralized.

After making the hair curves, I shaded the hair region lightly so that it wouldn't erase the traces, and I also made a light shade on the beard region as well. The forehead region had some shadows on the main drawing, and I had to shade it very lightly to show a not very obvious shadow.

Me alegra mucho que te hayas arriesgado y animado a dibujar a un compañero steemians. Gracias a tu boceto pudiste lograr la forma y proporciones correctas en tu dibujo.
Hiciste un buen trabajo; sin embargo es recomendable que evites los contornos en tu dibujo y en su lugar crees zonas de oscuridad que vayas difuminando progresivamente; esto te permitirá obtener resultados aún más realistas.

Speaking of outlines, what do you mean sir?, because the only thing i used here was guidelines otherwise known as sketch line, if this is what you mean by guideline and is the only fault you find here, then what can you say about those that used it and scored higher than me
¡Hola! Obtuviste una buena calificación ya que te arriesgaste a dibujar a un compañero steemian y fue muy creativo de tu parte, aún cuando No realizaste un sombreado en tu dibujo.
Si bien se solicita hacer el boceto, esta es solo la primera parte para hacer el dibujo; lo fundamental de los retratos es realizar un sombreado que permita lograr cierto realismo en el dibujo, y en los contornos de la nariz o los bordes del rostro no creaste ningún tipo de sombreado o iluminación. He calificado igual al resto de las publicaciones, puedes apreciar el esfuerzo en cada uno de los compañeros que obtuvieron como resultado 10/10, los cuales intentaron y evitaron lo más posible dejar expuestas las líneas de contorno, para ello se valieron de sombreados sutiles que disimularon dichas líneas.
