SC-S24W2: Landscapes

There's a well-known saying about art: 'Every child is an artist, but the challenge is staying an artist as an adult.' I enjoy art, but I often struggle to appreciate it. Nature fascinates me. Let's reflect on the positive things I've accomplished here...

✏️ Make a sketch that achieves the correct proportions and shape for your landscape. Feel free to choose between nature or the city (or create a combined landscape), or you can try any other landscape not explained in this challenge. Explain the steps.

I deeply love nature and have decided to sketch it for the first time. Nature brings calmness and comfort to people. It is essential for all life, as every living being relies on it to survive.

Drawing a river with a mountain, the sun, birds, and trees by the bank made me think of the calmness of nature. I realized how peaceful it feels to be near it.

Beginning the sketch was simple since I've been to the mountain top and know what it looks like. I often go there when I visit the village, where I can fully enjoy nature. The cool breeze helps me think clearly and makes me feel relaxed.

It was a freehand sketch that can be done without measurement. For the mountain top, it's just a free move of the hand and my working tool making it jarggered and random, and finally, I drew four horizontal lines and then from the conners I dragged them out like a triangle, and lastly I added another horizontal line at the top and bottom to mark the beginning and end.

I started with shading out the drop down of the mountain sketch, just the left side and making sure it's a lighter shade. Moving over to the horizontal lines, I shaded the inside lightly as it now look like a river bank, and then just like a shadow from the river, I made some little dropping right under these river banks.

I added some trees by the sides and shaded them out. The branches where shaded heavily to give it an amazing look and just above the mountain we have the sun setting at it's place and the birds flying around as they enjoy nature.

I finished my work as shown below. I'm excited to have created something from nature. It feels cool and relaxing. Nature is beautiful, it's worth giving a try...
