Mission Underway to Save 270 Dying Whales in Tasmania
Marine conservation experts are on a mission to save some 270 whales, of which up to 90 are feared dead after getting stuck on a sandbank on Tasmania's west coast.
Authorities were alerted to the group of whales in Macquarie Harbour, Tasmania on Sept. 21. After a dire assessment, they ordered extra rescue crews and equipment from Hobart.
