$800 in 1 Hour: Bitcoin Price Drops Big to Near $9K
Bitcoin's price nearly hit $9,000 on Thursday, a move that came hours after the cryptocurrency briefly went back above $10,000.
Crypto update: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP) continue to sink lower
The bitcoin (BTC) price has fallen almost 4.5% during the last 24 hours and is now fetching US$9,428.78 per coin. This has left bitcoin with a market capitalisation of US$159.4 billion
The Ethereum (ETH) price has dropped almost 4% since this time yesterday to US$714.58. This has reduced Ethereum’s market capitalisation to just over US$70 billion.
The Litecoin (LTC) price is off 2% since this time yesterday to US$177.64 per token. The popular altcoin has seen its market capitalisation fall to US$9.9 billion amid concerns over the launch of its LitePay technology.

But as I list them, take note that none of these truly affects Bitcoin’s fundamentals.

"1. One of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Binance, got hacked on Wednesday."
"2. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued a statement on Wednesday demanding all cryptocurrency exchanges operating in the country to register with the regulatory authority if they sell securities"
"3. Finally, Japan’s financial watchdog punished two cryptocurrency exchanges on the same day."

In fact, one Ethereum price prediction projects gains of 696.43% by the end of 2018.
Ethereum still stands as one of the tokens with the greatest short-term potential. Most of the largest organizations in the world that are testing blockchain technology are using the Ethereum platform. Only time will tell, but I personally think this is one ready to charge forward.
