Crowd-incubation for growth in the Steem ecosystem: Developer Delegation Day #10
It's the 5th of the month (in the GMT timezone), so it's time for another developer delegation day.
As you may recall, the idea came from here, as follows:
On the 5th of each month, community members will delegate 5 STEEM Power (SP) to a Steem developer of their choice. This regular support helps sustain and incentivize the developers who will become the backbone of the Steem ecosystem.
Basically, it's modeled after subscriptions on social media platforms like Twitter, Substack, or Patreon. But the nice thing about using delegations is that the owner can get a refund at any time. It's never a "sunk cost".
Today I made my 10th consecutive monthly contributions. Here were last month's totals:
Developer Account | Last Delegation Date | Last Delegation Amount | Current Total |
---|---|---|---|
@michelangelo3 | 2025-05-04 | 10 SP | 50.325 SP |
@moecki | 2025-05-04 | 10 SP | 55.416 SP |
@rexthetech | 2025-05-04 | 10 SP | 35.123 SP |
@steemchiller | 2025-05-04 | 10 SP | 55.416 SP |
@the-gorilla | 2025-05-04 | 10 SP | 55.416 SP |
Total | 2025-05-04 | 50 SP | 251.696 SP |
Since STEEM prices are still low, I delegated 10 SP per developer again this month instead of 5. I also added a 6th developer to my list, @kafio. Here are the delegation records (from @remlaps-pb).
And here are the new totals.
Developer Account | Last Delegation Date | Last Delegation Amount | Current Total |
---|---|---|---|
@kafio | 2025-06-04 | 10 SP | 10 SP |
@michelangelo3 | 2025-06-04 | 10 SP | 60.443 SP |
@moecki | 2025-06-04 | 10 SP | 65.546 SP |
@rexthetech | 2025-06-04 | 10 SP | 45.206 SP |
@steemchiller | 2025-06-04 | 10 SP | 65.546 SP |
@the-gorilla | 2025-06-04 | 10 SP | 65.546 SP |
Total | 2025-06-04 | 60 SP | 312.287 SP |
This is an easy way for steemizens to say "Thank You" to the developers who are working to improve the ecosystem.
To whom will you be delegating for the 10th #ddd?
Thank you for your time and attention.
As a general rule, I up-vote comments that demonstrate "proof of reading".
