The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in a statement that the 25 cricketers in the platinum category of the PSL-2021 player draft will be auctioned on January 10 in Lahore, Pakistan
The player draft of the next edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is starting. Bangladesh left-arm pacer Mostafizur Rahman is in the Platinum category with stars like Chris Gayle, Rashid Khan and Dale Steyn. A statement from the Pakistan Cricket Board said England's David Malan and Alex Hales are in the Platinum category. Both have played for the title-winning Kings last season. Also in the draft, Moeen Ali, Chris Jordan and Tom Banton have played in the PCL before. Besides Rashid Khan from Afghanistan, there are Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi. Sri Lanka's Thisara Perera and Isuru Udana.
In addition to Gayle, West Indies all-rounders Dwayne Bravo, Carlos Brathwaite, Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis are in the Platinum category draft. All three have experience of playing in the PSL before.
Morne Morkel and Rassie van der Dussen are from South Africa in the Platinum class draft. Both are still waiting for their debut in PSL. South Africa's Imran Tahir, Colin Ingram, Rilee Rossouw and Dale Steyn are on the list.
Although Mustafizur Rahman got the team from the draft, it is not certain that he will play in PSL. Because when the West Indies series ends at home, the Bangladesh team is going to tour New Zealand. Bangladesh has ODI and T20 series there. Mustafizur Rahman is a regular member of Bangladesh team in these two formats. As a result, his PSL game depends on the decision of the BCB.
