Land of Lions title by Whom to Which area

Well many of you don't know to which country or area called land of Lions by whom give this title to that area.
Many of you know about the Alexander the Great give title current kpk province of Pakistan and Pashtun area of Afghanistan is called land of Lions aslo Known as Loin's by Alexander the Great.
Why they known to be land of Loin's because they are un-defectable ever in world history.
I feel proud to be Pashtun.
