Wakehurst gardens part III
A few final photos from my third visit to Wakehurst botanical gardens. These include some images of the seeds on show at the millennial seedbank. The millennial seed bank is the world’s largest wild plant seed conservation project, and a vital insurance policy in a time when almost half of the world’s flowering plants are at risk of extinction.
There isn’t too much to see in there but they do have a little collection of various seeds you can see.
This time I also managed to make it a lot further to get to the lake and the wetland boardwalks over at the far end and the walk was so worth it! They were fascinating with head height Reeds and wooden walkways.
