Wakehurst garden
A subsidiary of Kew Gardens, just free, if like me you have a national trust card. I only got an hour there as I just thought I would check it out whilst I was in the area and it was a very beautiful garden, but I barely touched the surface of the huge gardens. I missed most of the things there including a seed bank, a mansion, the Himalayan glade, a bog garden, a walled garden, wetland boardwalk and winter garden. I am definitely going to go back and explore more.
Just don’t park in the carpark as it’s £13.50, even as a National trust member! I had a heads up on trip advisor already and so had a look around the area and found you can park 0.8 miles away and walk along a nice little footpath 15 minutes down to the garden for free.
