Parents are a blessing for every child. Those whose parents are alive do not know the meaning of parents. But those who do not have parents understand how valuable parents are. Because there is a saying that people do not understand the meaning of teeth as long as they have teeth. However, when my parents are sick, we have to endure a lot of pain but we never neglect them. Because as long as they are alive, we have a ball in our chest, we have our respect. I will share with you the things that my mother was sick last year but have not shared yet. However, after my mother recovered, my father fell ill. I have already told you that due to the increase in his diabetes, he had to amputate his left big toe. But not only the left big toe that had to be amputated.

After the toe was amputated, the bones on both sides of the foot joint broke while walking. Excessive diabetes weakens the bones of a person. Maybe this is why my father had to suffer so much. However, I did not get the right treatment at Dhaka BIRDEM Hospital, and it cost a lot. At one point, it became apparent that we could no longer afford the expenses. So, my father was brought back to our home from Dhaka. Then, through our relatives, I came to know that a local doctor treats heart disease well. He practices medicine in various places including Rajshahi Medical College. I also came to know that he sits in a chamber in our local area on certain days. With the help of that doctor, we decided to operate on my father from Kushtia Hospital. We consulted the doctor. He mentioned a specific day to us. He said that he would operate on my father at a place called Baishakh Clinic. We reached there on the specified day. We took all the necessary things and took my father there. It was quite difficult for us to take my father there. Because you have to lift it up from the street to the two-story building.

Meanwhile, I had also become quite ill after going back and forth to Dhaka for a long month and a half. Still, I was not afraid of having to carry my father in my arms. I continued to go with my sick father. On the specified day, the operation started again in the evening. I was sitting alone and was very tense. Because the doctor said that it was unlikely that the operation would be possible. Because the joints were completely destroyed. After that, after a lot of efforts, the doctor made my father's operation successful but said that it would not be right to walk on this leg. After that, I had to go out for various shopping at different times. Maybe you can understand from the photographs. When you come to the city and stay for a few days, you often need to buy a lot of things. Similarly, in addition to shopping, I had to go out several times to buy my father's medicine. This time was during the fasting month of Ramadan. When I went to buy food at the hotel, there was no food available many times. I suffered a lot. Since then, I have been taking care of my father since he is sick. To be honest, I have been serving my father for three and a half months now, and God willing, I will continue to be by his side in the future.
