I was living in Gazipur city at that time. I worked in a garment factory in Gazipur city. However, two days before Eid, all government and private workplaces were declared holidays.

Since the offices were declared holidays on the same day, there was a huge traffic jam on the roads. Just two days before Eid, all the government and private offices of our office and all the garment factories in Gazipur and Bangladesh were declared holidays. When the office holiday was declared, only I was in Gazipur city and my aunts and family had left for home.

I had to stay there for urgent work. Because the work was so urgent that waiting was not a bad option.

So my mother, aunt and other relatives left for Joydevpur station in the same car to come home. They left Gazipur railway station i.e. Joydevpur at 10 am and they sat waiting for the 11 am train.

Meanwhile, I finished all my activities and I also left for Joydevpur to come home. Because after so long, I will go home to celebrate Eid holidays. What could be more joyful than this? Since I am coming home after a long time and coming to my village home to celebrate Eid with my family, I am very happy in my heart. I wore new pants and shoes and packed my necessary clothes, phone charger and used things well in my bag. Then I took a rickshaw and reached Joydevpur station.

I was quite surprised when I went to Joydevpur station. Because my mother along with my relatives had left for the train at 10 am. However, there was so much jam and crowd in the trains that they could not get inside the train.

About 10 trains have left since the morning and it is almost afternoon now. When I went to Joydevpur at 3:30 pm, I met my cousin Abir.

My cousin Abir informed me that they have been waiting for the train since morning. All the trains that have arrived are full of passengers and there is no chance to board them. There is no space to stand inside the train, on the other hand, there are so many passengers on the roof of the train that the train is not visible. It seemed like people are holding each other like a beehive.

I was quite surprised to see this and the country surprised me. It really surprised me that there would be so many people on the train journey. Then my younger brother Abir showed me a video on a mobile and there was really a surprise in it. There are so many people in the entire area, including the train engine, that it is hard to describe. A large number of people are stuck to each other in the same place like a beehive, and the train is not visible.

Then I had to make a great decision. Since the train will reach Kamalapur railway station from North Bengal, we have to board the train there and go to Kamalapur and then leave for our home. Otherwise, we will not be able to board the train and we will not be able to celebrate Eid in our village.

When I told my family about my decision, they were very upset with me. Because they did not want to go in the opposite direction on the journey. But this time I was very angry with them and I left the station by an alternative route. Because if I want to celebrate Ramadan Eid in my village, then I must use an alternative route to return home.

But I did not want to leave my family and come to the village. So I sat with them and we had to sit continuously until 5 pm. But after sitting, the same result was achieved, the train was full of people, even there were a lot of people on the roof and engine of the train, which is incomprehensible. So at one point I got upset and when I shouted at the family, they were forced to accept my decision. Finally, at 6:30 PM, we made a good decision and it helped us get home.

We left at 7:30 pm and there was a light traffic jam on the road. Due to the traffic jam, it took us about 30 minutes to reach Gazipur Chowrasta from Joydevpur Railway Station. However, the small amount of fare made our journey more enjoyable.

We reached Gazipur Chowrasta at 8:00 pm. Then we took a bus called Taqwa Paribahan and we reached Chandana Chowrasta at 10:30 pm. After reaching there, we took our local bus and we felt very happy.

However, finally after a lot of difficulty, we were able to reach our village home the next morning. However, there are many memories associated with that Joydevpur Railway Station. Because we liked it a lot more when we came to celebrate the holidays and we were very happy.

Especially the time at the station will be memorable in our lives. I have never seen so many people before, a whole train was swarming with people just to go home for the Eid holidays. The entire area including the entire engine of the train was full of people. No way could any passenger get inside the train. There was not even a single space to put their feet inside the train.

The pressure of the people around me really made me happy and on the other hand it gave me relief amidst the hardships. Because after a long time when I celebrate Eid with my family, what else can I do if I don't feel some pain? So despite all the hardships, I came home for Eid and my train journey was a failure.

Although the whole process failed, the whole day's activities at the station still fascinated me. We waited like hunger for the train, when will the train arrive and we will go home. But the train arrived just in time, our dream of coming home was not fulfilled by train in any way. Finally, when we took an alternative route, we were finally able to reach my village home and celebrate Eid with our family.

Alhamdulillah, it was a great pleasure to celebrate Eid with my family and relatives at my village home. After a long time, when I shared a short story about Eid holidays with you one day at the railway station, that story came to my mind again. I am very happy to share this memorable story with you. I am eternally grateful to you for enjoying it so far. May your day be blessed and beautiful. Allah Hafez

During Eid, when all offices are closed together, everyone is busy getting home. There is a lot of traffic on the roads at that time. Traveling by train during this time is very comfortable. Although there are a lot of passengers on the train, you do not have to face traffic jams. You have shared a very beautiful post with us. I hope you will share more beautiful posts with us.
