Latest Road Conditions on the Gannan Rock Route

We traversed the Rock Route after departing from Zhagana. It is advisable to enter Zhagana via the Rock Route, as doing so obviates the need for an entrance ticket.

From Zhagana, navigate the Rock Route to the Hongshankou Viewing Platform (bypassing the Zhuoni Viewing Platform if desired). The Rock Route is currently undergoing construction and consists of unpaved surfaces. Road construction is in progress along the entire route. Some reports suggest that passage may be restricted during construction periods; however, we did not encounter such restrictions and experienced uninterrupted travel throughout. Passenger vehicles can traverse the Rock Route in its entirety. A segment of the route features a plethora of potholes, but proceeding with caution poses no significant challenges. The area adorned with rapeseed flowers corresponds to the Hongshankou Viewing Platform. The present season is ideal for visiting; it is an unmissable destination.
