Recent rains have caused devastation on all sides - farmers are sinking, farmers are upset
The recent and continuous rains in different parts of Pakistan have caused devastation everywhere. Although these rains are considered the mercy of nature, but when it is out of normal, timely time and excessiveness, this mercy becomes a bother. The dreams of the farmers, the hard work of the months, the sweat flowing into the fields, everything has flowed into the water. Where look, only water is visible.
The crops have been destroyed, the earth has become swampy, and the farmer's heart is shedding tears. In some rural areas, for the past several days, it has not been fortunate to see the sun. There are clouds all the time, sometimes light drizzle and sometimes heavy torrential rains. The rivers have been filled, small bridges have been broken, and many villages have been disconnected from the cities.
The fields in which lush plants were flourishing a few days ago, there is now a sea of water. Wheat, paddy, sweetest pitte, corn, vegetables and other crops are severely damaged. In many places, seeds have been lost, and in areas where the crop was near, there has been complete destruction. The land has become so wet that both tractors and laborers are unable to go to the field. Neither fertilizer can be poured, nor can they be sprayed.
Even for cattle, fodder arrangements are becoming difficult. Expensive fertilizers, expensive seeds, agricultural medicines and labor costs were already bothering the farmer. Now the destruction of the crops has been fulfilled due to the rains. The farmers who had borrowed with loans are no longer able to take out the loan. The farmer is in despair due to no immediate assistance or emergency measures from the government.
Taking livestock into pastures, going to school school, taking sick people to hospital has been affected. In many places, water has also entered the houses, which has damaged domestic goods and grains. The roofs are dripping, the walls are at risk of falling, and the people are forced to live under the open sky. Neither relief teams have arrived, nor have any financial assistance or loan waiver for farmers.
No team has arrived for the survey in the affected areas, causing a wave of anger among the people. People are raising their voices through social media and local media that the government should take immediate steps to restore the affected areas. What to do? - Finding a solution
The need is that the government immediately announces relief package for farmers. Farmers should be compensated by estimating the loss of crop losses. In areas where water is standing, drainage arrangements should be made so that the land can become cultivated. Consultation should be initiated between agricultural experts and farmers so that proper plans can be made to prevent such disasters in the future. Local associations and welfare organizations also play their role
