Novel: The End of Love

Part- 6: Unknown Attraction

A light mist of a winter morning. As soon as Rahul entered the campus, he caught sight of that familiar face again. Trisha. It seemed that her smile was warmer than the cold morning. There were many people walking around, but Rahul's eyes were fixed only on her.

Trisha was going towards the canteen with her friends. She did not notice Rahul. But Rahul stood silently, as if some invisible attraction was holding her. He thought to himself,
Why do I look for her every day? Is this just a coincidence, or is there really something in it?

Days were passing by, and every day, a habit was forming without Rahul knowing it. Before the class started, or at the end, he would look for Trisha's presence. Her walking, talking, or laughing with her friends, everything seemed to have a strange attraction for Rahul.

One day, after class, Rahul decided that this time, it would not be just a matter of seeing her from afar. At least he needed to move forward a little. He saw Trisha standing alone in front of the library, with a book in her hand. He gathered his courage. He slowly walked forward and said,
Hi, I'm Rahul... We study in the same class.

Trisha looked at him. A slight surprise in her eyes, then a light smile.
Oh, yes... I recognize her. I'm Trisha.

This was just an acquaintance, but a wave of unknown joy surged inside Rahul. Some small things happened, very simple, but Rahul felt like he had spent the most important moment in the world.

Rahul couldn't sleep that night. He kept remembering Trisha's simple smile, and an unfamiliar warmth. He could understand that his mind was slowly becoming stuck on Trisha.

Trisha might have sensed it a little too. Rahul's quiet nature, but sincere eyes, were arousing curiosity without him knowing it.

An unknown tension was building between the two. No one had yet explicitly admitted it, but a new emotion seemed to be in the air.
