Rajnigandha: A Bloom That Breathes Peace
Rajnigandha flower blooms on long, straight stalks. It contains many small white colored flowers which are connected by forming groups around the stalk. Each flower has six petals, which are lightly turned, gentle and shiny like heave. Rajnigandha, called Tuberose in English, is a bulbous floral plant that belongs to the Asparagaceae clan. Its scientific name is polyianthes tuberosa. It is basically a plant originated from Mexico, but at present, India, and India, are grown extensively in the gardens of particular Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and South India.
The color of these flowers is pure and white as the sky, sometimes for a light colorful aura, which makes it even more attractive.
The lines of this plant are long, narrow and dark green. These leaves are mainly on the base, which is called Pushpasana and there is no branch on the top, from which the floral stalk can be clearly seen. Rajnigandha is world famous for its sweet, fast and fascinating aroma. This fragrance especially becomes more strong at the evening and night and perhaps that is why it was named "Rajnigandha", that is, "odor spread at night".

When I first saw Rajnigandha flower blooming in my garden, it felt as if it had met an old friend after years. That white flower was not just beautiful to see, but there was something to touch my soul in it. The memory of that morning is still fresh today, the drops of dew were shining like pearls on the petals. As soon as the wind moved, its smell spread throughout the courtyard. As if everything had stopped at that moment and it was only a flower, its smell and my mind.
