Cooling Memories
It is really awesome (and of course amazing) how a great memory can instantly make me feel better.
The last few days have been horrific with extreme temperatures, well, at least for around this region, hitting +40C and still, as it isn't yet the middle of the summer, there is some proper humidity making surviving the heat even harder.
Thank God out air-conditioning is working as expected but unfortunately I had plenty of work outdoors those days.
So I had to wake up quite early in the morning, right after the sunrise, to able to do some of my tasks outside, before it becomes 9:00 AM and the mercury passes +30C...
Now let me stop here with the grumpy part and just share a short series of pictures I took while enjoying the cooling waters and shades at the lake Walensee in Switzerland with friends.
Quite pleasant picnic spots there and hiking routes with amazing views over the lake and the nearby establishments.
I'd recommend to go there late spring-summer-early autumn. Otherwise the waters of the lake may be too cold to swim, unless you're from Denmark or some other country from the North where people are tough! :)
Such a lovely day it was...

The first picture confused me a bit, I admit, and maybe some others below. Honestly, I thought you were showing a place in Bulgaria. 😅 And since I have nothing to say about Switzerland (I've only been through that country), I'll comment on the heat 😀
Aside from the constant threat of fires and water outages, I have no reason to complain about the weather. In fact, I was even cold tonight. 😆 After all, it's only a short part of the year, and the rest of it is cold. So I'm not complaining, but enjoying the warmth as much as I can. And I don't believe the global warming nonsense. People just have short memories and others take advantage of that.
Well, I guess, people BBQ everywhere :)))
It seems you are enjoying the hot weather, good for you!
You're right, there have been much hotter summers but lately, there is politics in everything! :(
I recently came across an article about how the same temperatures as this summer were presented in England in 1995 - normal. While this year is shock and horror - don't go outside, close the curtains, keep the children safe, everyone stay indoors due to mortal danger... Why this dramatization? Personally, I even think that previous summers were hotter than the current one. And I wouldn't even be surprised if fires are being deliberately lit to finally show and prove this global warming 😶🌫️
Perhaps the human race is less endurable presently? ;)
I can only speak for myself, I don't withstand the summer heat so well in the last years...
