Dear campers, I'm pleased to present a challenge that combines photography + observation + research. Ideal for nature lovers at CCS!

In this second week, our Eco-Lens Challenge invites you to explore the biodiversity that surrounds us and document it for posterity. We want to foster curiosity, knowledge, and a connection with the natural world. And enjoy the photography skills of participating Steemians.

What is the “Eco Lens Challenge” about?

	✅ Observe: Your environment and surroundings, including your home and garden. ✅ Photograph: Take several shots from different angles and distances. Select the 7 best ones. ✅ Research: Research and write a review about the insect, animal, flower, or plant you photographed. Be creative. ✅ Share: The post on Steemit. You can also log your observation on iNaturalist

How to Participate?

• ✅ Weekly Theme: Week 2 is "Insects."
• ✅ One theme per post: Each post must feature only one insect.
• ✅ Description: Write at least 300 words that include:
• • 🔍 Full common and scientific names.
• • 🔍 Details about their habitat and behavior.
• • 🔍 A brief text about how you took the photos.
• • 🔍 References to your sources.
• ✅ Photos: Use a maximum of 7 high-quality photos.
• ✅ Photo Types: Your post must include these three required photos:
• • 📸 At least one photo of the subject in its natural environment.
• • 📸 At least one medium shot showing the entire subject.
• • 📸 At least one close-up (macro) shot showing a specific detail.
    
• ✅ Map Coordinates: All your photos must have the map coordinates feature enabled. You must include the coordinates in your post.
• ✅ (Optional): Upload your observation to iNaturalist.org if you have a profile.

• Title: Use this format: "Insect Name + Observation Location."
• Post: Post your entry to the CCS Community.
• Originality: Photos must be yours. Text must be original, plagiarism-free, and AI-free.
• Hashtags: Use these hashtags: #eco-lens #ccs #nature #photography #insects #zoology #country #steemexclusive
• Comments: Leave a link to your post in the comments of this announcement and invite three friends.
• Interact: Visit and comment on other participants' posts.
• (Optional): Set @ccscurator as the recipient of 10% to support curation and future challenges.
• 📅 Date: The challenge will run from September 2-9, 2025.
