The Ongoing Road Construction in My Town

In Nigeria, road construction is carried out by the government we have roads that are under the control of the federal government, that which is under the control of state government, and as the local government. Federal roads are the roads that are linked from one state to another, whereas state roads are interconnected within the state. The road that is shared in this post is a state road under the government of Nasarawa State.

Before the construction of this road, the road was a bit bad, so the governor decided to turn it into a double-lane road. The construction of this double-lane road, which one lane is almost completed, led to the destruction of a lot of houses and shops that were closer to the road. However, all those affected were compensated for the destruction.

The construction company is handled by Julius Berger company, which is one of the best construction companies in Nigeria. The road is linked to Abuja, markudi, and Jos, which are the states that the road is connected to. Also, a flyover is being constructed ahead of where you see a motorcycle driving.
