Continuous Rain Brings Both Joy and Suffering.
Hello dear friends,
I hope you all are doing well and spending a beautiful life with your loved ones. I wish you all happiness and peace.
In Bangladesh, the rainy season means the joy of rain. The sound of raindrops, the roar of clouds, and the cool breeze bring a sense of peace to our minds. Especially at night, when it rains, sleep feels much more relaxing. But along with this joy comes suffering, especially when the rain continues for days without a break.
This July, it seems the rain just won’t stop. From the very first day of the month, it has been raining every day at some point. Some days it has rained continuously from morning to night. This nonstop rain is not only changing the weather but also affecting people’s daily lives in a big way.
Daily Life in Trouble
In the morning, office-goers, students, and business people face serious problems because of the rain. When it rains while leaving home, there’s always the risk of getting wet. Even if you carry an umbrella, it’s almost impossible to keep your clothes completely dry. Before reaching offices or schools, clothes and shoes often get soaked.
In the evening, when people return home tired after work, the rain makes things even worse. Traffic jams increase, and it becomes hard to find rickshaws. Rickshaw and auto-rickshaw fares double during rain, forcing people to spend extra money.
Poor Road Conditions
Due to heavy rain, the condition of roads in Dhaka and other cities has become very bad. Many roads are flooded, and in some places, potholes have formed. Water-filled potholes make walking dangerous. Vehicles also face trouble, leading to longer traffic jams.
Dirty water spreads along the roadsides. Office-goers and school children wearing white clothes find them ruined by mud and splashes. Shoes, of course, suffer the most.
Economic Pressure
Transportation costs have gone up because of the rain. Rickshaw pullers demand higher fares, and auto-rickshaws charge even more. On top of that, market prices are already high, so the extra cost puts more pressure on people. In many cases, people cannot go to work or complete important tasks due to rain, creating problems in their jobs.
Joy vs. Suffering
Rain is an essential part of nature. It makes the soil fertile and cools the weather. But when it rains continuously, it brings more hardship than happiness. This is why proper drainage systems, road maintenance, and public awareness are necessary so that rain becomes a source of joy, not suffering.
No matter how beautiful the rain looks, continuous rainfall is a big challenge for us. Along with enjoying this natural beauty, we must also take effective steps to reduce the problems caused by it.
Thanks all

At this time of year, the global climate has been causing us problems with unforeseen phenomena. Intense rains that last for days, flooding in various parts of the world, unbearable heat in Europe. In short, we're beginning to see the consequences of our lack of foresight.
You've presented several problems that the rains are causing in your city, from the inconvenience of getting wet and arriving soaked when leaving home to expenses not stipulated in the family budget. Good post.
🎉 Congratulations!
