FIRST STEPS INTO HARI RAID GAME

in CCS3 days ago

Playing games is one thing I engage in during my leisure time or just to cool off. Many people are of the opinion that playing games helps in the cognitive development of an individual, along with other psychomotor benefits.

I have come across various Steemit games but never participated in any of them; until recently. I often heard some Steemians talk about games like the Hari Raid, Memory Game, Steem Pons, and others, but I never gave them a try. That changed when I decided to try out a few of them, starting with the Memory Game.

I played the free mode in the evening and did surprisingly well. Thrilled by my performance, I decided to try the paid mode. I ranked first on the leaderboard; out of just two players. Quite funny, right? I thought so too. I was excited, but that feeling was short-lived. Hours later, I checked back and discovered I had dropped to third position. Hmm… I decided to play again, but still couldn’t reclaim the first or second spot. I honorably chose to quit, reminding myself that Rome wasn’t built in a day.

I was introduced to the Hari Raid game by @nsijoro through his referral link. The interface looked strange at first, though there were guidelines on how to navigate. I paid little attention to them since he was there to simplify things for me; I was just too eager to start. I received some free points to begin with. He mentioned he got more than I did but couldn’t explain why. I didn’t bother much at that point; I just wanted to explore the game, especially after seeing the rewards.

The game has a marketplace where you can purchase four different tickets used for the team mission.
What’s the mission of this game? It’s a suicide mission were a notorious monster is to be executed by a group of players (monster hunters). It’s a collective effort, but your ranking on the leaderboard and the amount of points you earn depend on the level of damage you inflict on the monster. The mission only ends if and only if the monster is destroyed, so the game’s duration depends on this condition.

I went to the marketplace and purchased the Summon Ticket; they always come in sets of three. This has been the only ticket I’ve purchased so far due to insufficient funds. At some point, I had to purchase 100 Hari points using 2 Steems, since 1 Steem equals 50 Hari points. However, you can only purchase 30 pieces of the Summon Ticket per day, I suppose. I’m still learning how to perform better on this gaming platform. The other three tickets in the marketplace are the EXP, Reroll, and State tickets, which cost 10, 30, and 100 Hari points, respectively.

To play the game, you tap or click on the play icon, then click on "Summon," and a set of three shadow cards will continuously appear. You just tap or click on any of the sets to identify a card. The damage each card deals can be seen by flipping it to show its backside, which also displays its type and rarity. The highest card I’ve been lucky to get so far is a Light Epic card with 80 damage. You can choose to reroll, but the outcome is unpredictable. I did a reroll at some point and ended up with a weaker card; I regretted that action but moved on. It’s highly probabilistic. If you're satisfied with your cards or can’t afford a reroll (after the first free reroll of the day), you just go ahead and tap the Attack button.

Well… I’ll certainly get to the top of the leaderboard with your help. You may ask, how? Honestly, I don’t know myself!

The last time I played, I reached rank 102. At this rank, I don’t qualify for any Steem reward. But all hope isn’t lost, as the monster’s HP is still high. However, we never can tell what might happen next, as other players are still attacking.
The monster to be destroyed is Mulhon.

If you haven’t tried this game yet, you should definitely check it out. I’d like to invite @nsijoro, @solaymann, @max-pro, and @ninapenda to participate in this suicide mission.
