I nearly became a raisin today because of excess fluid removal but the treament session went ok anyway
I was looking forward to my last session of the week because I would use a new dialyzer which I hope would alleviate more of my current complaint about my being acidic and wondering what my Nephrologist had told my nurses about how I will be dialyzed with some adjustments in the dialysis machine.
But the session is somewhat like before however I felt a muscle cramp which is either an indicator of electrolyte imbalance or too much fluid has been taken out already from my system. After the third hour of the four hours treatment time I am already feeling that enough water had been drawn out from my system.
It is because again I am already feeling lightheadedness and then pain emerges everywhere in my body. I tried to endure it but the pain in my right leg is already making things worse. I might still be able to complete my session if not from that right leg cramping on me and I could normally relieve it on my own because my legs are already lifted on a box by nurses although my blood pressure reads normal which is 110/80.
Well, if things like that happens the light headedness will get worse and I am already blacking out because of it and have to call my nurse to stop the treatment otherwise I will poop in my pants before "meeting my creator". The new nurse was the one that set the fluid removal setting by the way.
A misunderstanding with me and the senior nurse about my telling her to infuse more NSS (to alleviate my freaki'n leg's cramps already) and to stop me from blacking out. She misinterpreted my signal as a command like I am a boss or something, So after a while while she is fixing my arm's puncture holes she asked why I said what I told her in a rather rude manner as it came to her misunderstanding. I told her that I did not meat to sound that way and explained to her that my right leg is already painful and telling her with an example of a dog biting my leg and I had no choice to yell for help or open the gate. I apologized because it is a case of misunderstanding because of my circumstance being in a very dangerous situation.
Anyway, I got worried that I will have a backlog of extra fluids again and that I will have to deal with it again considering that two days will pass before my God-willing dialysis next Monday. Upon checking my post dialysis session I saw that I was overdrawn with fluids with an excess of 700 mL which was the reason I felt lightheaded faster than I would normally would. So it took some hours for me to feel better again because it depressed my blood pressure until I was able to move it up again by drinking water with electrolytes, it took five hors and I ate my meal afterwards.

It is as if every dialysis something goes awfully wrong. In a way I find it unbelievable that the nurses still don't understand what you are going through and I keep wondering why they believe you can act "normal" and "polite" if there's an emergency.
I truly hope that not one of them will every be in a situation like yours or worse and if that is the case, they will have an eyopener and remember you and how they treated you.
Is this machine doing a better job and does it mean your dialysis time can be reduced with 30 minutes?

The treatment time can be stopped at any time depending on the request of the patient for any reason. There will be a discussion if the reason is not associated with a very depressed blood pressure especially if the patient is blacking-out, then they will do the necessary things to correct the BP while the blood is being returned to the patient.
It really feels incomplete if I will not finish the four-hour treatment time because my creatine still is high (I got tested last Thursday) even though I go there three times per week.
But now I am targeting higher body weight compared before to avoid the crashing blood pressure but yesterday it seems that the new nurse had put 3.4 Kg to be removed instead of 2.4Kg only. I should be going home with a weight of 33.2 Kg but I went home with 32.6 Kg !
That is why I was wondering after the third hour that it seems that the fluid removal is already complete and overdrawing already because I am starting to feel off with pain lightheadedness and the nasty leg cramp.
Anyway, this senior nurse had a history of miscommunication/misunderstanding with her co-nurses which sometimes lead to conflict, yelling and all that and it is always resolved because they would talk about it. She is quite feisty and says what other people normally would kept for themselves. But what I like about her is that I get results when I talk to her which is why I will be worried if she would work abroad where salary is much way better than here.
Anyway, I feel much better now, the symptoms of acidosis went away by the way and I feel much better now because taking sodium bicarbonate really works and alleviated this achy elbow and other joints which as I discovered is caused also by my acidosis all these years 😫. But now I am expecting to feel better, maybe my muscle wasting might stop with more improvement on my bone health because the issue of acidosis is now being addressed thanks be to God, Really prayed for this and I got the solution.

It is good to hear you feel better now, and I really hope next time there will be no more issues and you gain weight or your muscles improve (which is gaining weight also) and more miracles will happen if it comes to your health.
I find it great how much you discover about your health and even better the ways how to fight them.

I woke up at around 4:00 AM today Saturday because I am attending online church which starts at 4:30 AM.
It's amazing that I discovered one factor that plagued me for more than two decades. I always wonder why my condition is like so until I stumbled upon it after a bad case of acidosis, now I am happy for the solution that will make my well-being better now.
