Time For Honeysuckle

Greetings, friends.

4 days ago, I told you that I visited the Vulkan Garden Center Chain in early May.
Today I want to tell you about Honeysuckle. This is the very first berry that appears in my garden. I first encountered this berry in my childhood, but I didn't learn its name until I was 35. That's how it happens. It's like meeting your childhood friend after years of separation. I knew this berry by the name "nipples" and collected it in the forest. I left my parents' house in 1986 and haven't seen this berry for a long time. But one day, one of my colleagues gave me a taste of blueberries and I remembered this taste. In the wild, berries have a more bitter taste than those grown in the garden.
Now, for more than 10 years, 5 honeysuckle bushes of different varieties have been growing in my garden. This spring, I planted 1 more bush. Everyone in my family loves this berry.

Honeysuckle usually begins to ripen by June 20th. At least that's what I've always thought. But this year, I saw the first blue berry on a bush on June 5 and told my wife about it. What did my wife say to that? She said that I had already eaten some berries 2 days ago.
The climate is changing! But it seemed to me that May did not please us with its warmth; it was cool.

My mom does the harvesting. She doesn't always take the ripest berries, and I've already told her that many times. But I can't stop my mom from picking berries, because it's always been her favorite activity. Mom is already 84 years old. How can she be forbidden to do this?

Usually, mom keeps records of the harvested berries, and indeed of the entire harvest. But for some reason, this time she couldn't say for sure about the number of berries picked.
According to my calculations, it turns out at the moment about 10 kg. I have already put more than half of the berries in special containers and put them in the freezer.

There were many fewer berries last year. This was influenced by frosts during the flowering of shrubs.
In the fall, I carried out a good pruning of shrubs and this affects the increase in yield.

By the way, I was motivated to write this post by a post by @Stef1 about strawberry time. Few strawberries grow in my garden, but there are plenty of them in the wild.
