The Season of Apples And Pears
Greetings, friends.
The season of apples and pears has begun. Now I go to the garden first thing every morning and pick up the apples and pears that fell at night. Today, Orthodox Christians in Russia celebrate the Honey Savior. On August 19, there will be an Apple Savior, which was one of the first harvest festivals among the ancient Slavs. It was the day from which, according to beliefs, nature unfolded from summer to autumn and winter. Many pagan holidays migrated to the Christian calendar to make people more willing to accept Christianity.
I know people who bring their crops to church on such days to consecrate them.

I didn't go to the office today, and I'm working from home. So before lunch, I went back to the garden to pick tomatoes and cucumbers in the greenhouse. By the way, a few years ago we started planting cucumbers, which we call "Chinese". They are very tasty to eat right from the garden.

I especially took small tomatoes. I cut them into 4 pieces, put them in a plate, sprinkled them with Georgian Svan salt with spices, and added a little sour cream. This is one of the best salads I love. Lately, I've been eating tomatoes and cucumbers in this form separately to enjoy each taste.

What am I going to have for dinner tonight? Tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, eggs. And I'll also make fresh juice from apples using a juicer. We use it only during the season of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Friends, thank you for your attention.
