The Grey Heron
Greetings, friends.
Last week I was visiting my daughter. We spent this time at her country house, which is located on Novorizhskie Lakes in the Moscow region.
I met 5 stork nests in the vicinity of this location, but they were all empty because the storks had flown to warmer climes; but on one of my walks around the lake, I met a gray heron. It was an unexpected meeting, and it was starting to rain. The next day, I heard sounds coming from above. I realized that herons were making them, and a minute later I saw 3 large birds high in the sky. They were circling over the lake. I managed to grab my camera, take 2 shots in the direction of the heron, which disappeared from sight a moment later.
For the next 2 days, I tried to see a heron on the lake, but my efforts were unsuccessful. Apparently, the herons flew to their winter quarters, and I recorded the moment of farewell.

I hope to meet these birds next spring and summer.

Friends, thank you for your attention.
