THE DIARY GAME

Yesterday was very special and memorable day for me. I started the morning by participating in an important conference. This conference was based on the subject of "Controlling Costs to Improve Profitability in Hospitals and Healthcare Units", which was organized by the Indian Hospital Association, Vadodara Chapter. This subject is very important for people working in the healthcare sector because not only the treatment, but also the financial condition of the hospital and better management also affect the quality of the service of the patients.

Many experts in the conference expressed their views and shared their experiences. Especially Dr. Varun Mishra's session was very inspiring. He explained in simple words that not only revenue (Revenue) in the hospital management, but how important it is to understand the profit and cash flow correctly. His line - "Revenue is Vanity, Profit is Sanity, and Cash is Reality" - I remembered all day because it made the real essence of healthcare management very clear.

At the conclusion of the conference I was also awarded the Certificate of Participation. The certificate was a feeling of satisfaction with a certificate in hand that I have taken another small but important step forward in my professional life. Learning never ends and such programs always inspire us to move forward.

After the conference ended, I reached my hospital directly. I had a responsibility there - to train nursing staff on safe IV cannulation. It is often seen that many times the patient has to face repeated pricks in IV Cannulation. It not only hurts but also spoils the patient's experience. I gave the staff detailed training on the subject of how to select the right site, which angle to put canula from which angle and how to assess the condition of the patient's veins. Along with this, I also shared how the veins can be made more clear by changing some positions, such as keeping the patient's hand downwards. The staff actively participated in this training and I was very happy to see their curiosity.

After completing the training session I returned home. Returning home after a long and busy day always gives peace to the mind. In the evening, my wife and my wife spent time in the kitchen. We made mix vegetables together. Vegetables of different colors, light spices and fresh green coriander fragrance changed the atmosphere of the entire house. When the food was ready, it was not only the taste of it, but the joy of making it together was doubled.

Sitting at the end of the day, I thought how beautifully the day was spent today. In the morning, the conference got a new learning, shared knowledge to the nursing team in his hospital in the afternoon and spent time with the family in the evening. This balance is the real beauty of life-where both professional development and personal happiness go together.
