A sticker sticks...

in CCC2 days ago

It's what you don't like on your doors, the walls, your stuff. It leaves glue behind if you try to remove it. Most stickers are ugly, the drawing, the message, or it's a commercial. No fun text but something to brainwash. I am not a meme fan so no way I will print texts on stickers or promote myself or something I like.
If it comes to promoting, how come companies find it normal we do that for free while they on the other hand pay high amounts to some "VIPs".
VIPs, those people, do you still fall for them and if so, why? What is it that makes them so special that you are willing to buy what they buy, wear what they wear, act like them? It's not that it makes you a better, more unique person; it's more you are the copy-cat, a fake personality, losing yourself. You never ask yourself why you are sell yourself, your soul, to be the next copy? Is it plagiarism if you copy someone's behaviour, mimic the voice? If I remember well it's a topic once in a while in crime series and it's not allowed. Imagine we all dress like the king, queen or some president. Will we get away with it or will law find and fine us?
If that's the case the label you receive isn't a sticker but it works in the same way. You have that big stamp on you and will never get rid of it no matter how hard you try. You can stay out of trouble, but with the smalles bit of bad luck (or misstep) the past will jump out of the box like Jack in the box would. Let's say the sticker can be gone for long but the glue is left and won't do you any good. It's the price paid for what you believe would make you look or feel good but does the opposite.

Prompt: sticker
