Climate change the invisible threat to our wellbeing
It has not been easy here dealing with climate change.
It has been raining 🌧️ continuously for five days now.
Everywhere is cold ❄️, wet and muddy.
Now its effect on my system and that if my children is what I don't like.
I have been dressing with thick clothing for days now. My kids have ran out of their thick clothing as a result of rain and the fact that there is no sun to dry clothes makes it difficult.
Imagine me, I am not a fan of thick clothing but for some days now I have been wearing heavy cloths with pair of socks 🧦.
I can't go without socks and and heavy cloths and must be a pair of trousers and long sleeves inner wear and winter jacket 🧥.
We have fallen sick as a result of this climate change effect in our system.
Yesterday I had to stopped by in a pharmacy to get drugs for myself and my children.
My husband is the only person who has not fallen sick.
Drugs for my children and I
I spent about ₦12000 (60 steem) yesterday in buying drugs for myself and my children.
This rain also affect the business, it is not booming as it use to boom.
I packed things in and out for many times so that the rain will not spoil my goods outside.
I know it's raining season in Nigeria but I am really affected just wishing I can cope with this.

I am planning to buy new winter jacket but the cost of the jacket for my children and myself is just too expensive.
Does anyone have this experience before? How did you cope?.

I wonder what "climate change" means to you.
I find it very hard to believe that it never rained for 5 days during the past 100 years or more in your country. I am sure it did and if you look more back in history you might be surprises about the weather.
The climate always changes; we had the Ice Age, a very hot period on earth that killed many civilisations. Back then they had no trash, no cars, no plastic...
A happy week, it's raining here too since the storm and more storms are on their way.

As at when I dropped the post, I rained for 5 consecutive days and is still raining till today. We usually have rain here but not as much like this year.
