The Uninvited Guest: A Phygasia Beetle
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/309332065
I’m sharing a photo of my most recent iNaturalist observation, the Phygasia silacae beetle. I saw this guy in the morning right after I came back from the store where I went to get ingredients for breakfast. I was shocked to see it on my trousers when I entered the house and wondered how it got on me since I hadn't visited any bushy areas.
I guess it came hunting for me since I wouldn't go picture hunting for it! 😂

Fun Facts About This Beetle
This is a type of leaf beetle, and a lot of the species in the Phygasia genus are known for their ability to jump like fleas using their powerful hind legs. This might explain how it managed to land on my trousers without me even noticing!
It's always amazing what you can find when you're not even looking for it. Thank God for another day.
