Addiction of social media and a failed quest to get monetized.

Greetings friends!

Social media is very addictive. People love to spend their precious time here interacting with others and getting a sense of being heard.

Social media has become so addictive that people have are even neglecting their family, friends and surroundings. They are not physically active. It was better when there was limited internet connectivity and smartphones were in the nascent state. Smartphones have changed our life a lot but they also have distracted us a lot. They take our most of the time and energy. People love to argue with others on common issues. They check their phones again and again during a day. One reason is that people love to get attention of others. Second reason is that they think their accounts might be monetized and they may earn money through it.

Money is the driving force behind lots of reels and posts. Platforms like steem and hive give opportunity to people to earn cryptos by writing posts. This attracts lots of people but they soon realize that this is not an easy thing to get rewards.

Despite being downvoted, there are many accounts who continuously post here. They never get paid as they are continuously being downvoted. Despite having reputation score in minus, they don't give up easily. In my view this is just insane. There is no use of wasting your time and resources to get downvotes and then become frustrated. They should invest their time and efforts for making their life happy.

Thank you!

I believe the plus of social media is that those who never had a voice suddenly have one. No one can see if you are an extrovert or introvert and victims of bullies can be someone, bullies became internet bullies and keyboard heroes
The nasty phone calls stopped but instead we have internet stalkers.
Literally everything became easier except for finding a real friend, that struggle remained the same, which I find sad. If it comes to social skills, this decreased which is sad.

As long as people work they try to find an easy job or do something they really like. Social media is an option to be the journalist, photographer, be in the picture, promote yourself, unlike in the old days.
It's true that if a platform is mainly used by poor people and is promoted as the goose with the golden eggs, it doesn't attract investors but only more who want to make a quick income,

Should everyone give up on writing if downvoted?
If you like to write, why give up or better give in to a bully? Since not scammers and farmers are always downvoted, also those who fight those people. If it comes to being downvoted you should know that if the reputation is higher than the one who downvotes you, your reputation can't go down, all the downvoted can do is take your upvotes away .

If writing makes happy, why let someone filled with envy make you stop?
Who know this is even a sign that not everyone cares about the income, Steemit is addictive and it's good to meet and talk with others. It's also proof that there is no fair play and you need luck to receive an upvote.

A happy day and welcome to CCC.

P.s. The contests are pinned among some posts we hope will receive an upvote.
