Whispers of tomorrow
"Whispers of Tomorrow"
Underneath the quiet of evening skies,
Where blurring sunshine delicately kicks the bucket,
The whisper of tomorrow talks,
Through quiet woods and silver rivers.
The dreams we manufacture with trembling hands,
Are castles built on moving sands,
However trust, a adamant fire, still develops,
Among the thistles, in the midst of the snows.
A heart once broken dares to defeat,
A fatigued traveler moves his feet,
And from the ruins of the past,
Modern seeds are sown, unused shadows cast.
The stars, like watchers cold and shrewd,
Peer down with old, burning eyes,
Whereas winds that move upon the oceans
Sing tunes of ancient overlooked supplications.
The stream twists, the mountain sobs,
The timberland murmurs, the knoll sleeps,
But some place within the folds of night,
A glint bursts, a start touches off.
It tells of ways however strolled by none,
Of fights battled, of races run,
Of cherish that holds up with persistent breath,
And life that carves a way through passing.
The torment we bear, the scars we appear,
Are identifications of the truths we know.
Each tear that falls, each cry unheard,
Are collapsed into each word.
A whisper here, a mumble there,
The concealed hands of whispered supplication,
They lift the soul, they direct the hand,
They educate the broken how to stand.
So when the night is long and cold,
And fear's a monster as well expansive to hold,
Keep in mind within the pitch of distress:
There's continuously still a shinning tomorrow.
For hearts may tire, and bodies drop,
And noiseless may the solitary wolf call,
But trust — that adamant, old light —
Will discover a way to puncture the night.
And you, in spite of the fact that bowed with fatigued bone,
Are never really misplaced, alone.
For dreams, for whispers, for the sky —
For all the tunes that never pass on —
Will weave you wings, will construct you oceans,
Will set you moving with the breeze.
Tomorrow holds up. Tomorrow listens.
Tomorrow dries forgotten tears.
And after you set out to rise once more,
Tomorrow welcomes you as a companion.
