cliff jumping!!!!

In the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York State, just down the road from my college campus is a nice waterfall/cliff jumping spot, and come summertime- you can usually find gaggles of kids...

before i even get close to the pathway down toward the actual river- which was lined with the majority of people lounging in the sun, . i turn and take the path along the river toward the jumping spot with a couple friends...

my friend was too scared and so she and i jumped together and got a great round of applause...

we swim through the strong current, across the river and climb onto the large rocks that were especially warm from the sunlight beating down on the surface- creating a great sensation as we climbed out of the fresh cold water...we spent the afternoon laughing and hanging out; partially submerged and sunbathing on the warm boulders and occasionally dipping ourselves back into the refreshing water
