U Groh Bakoy Stilt House Rujak Restaurant

ONE of the restaurants that is very popular with consumers is Rujak U Groh Restaurant. RM Rujak U Groh is located in the Bakoy area, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar. Its position is in the Bakoy rice field area.

Its position is quite easy to mark. Moreover, across the street there is a building with dozens of floors that was built during the implementation of the XXI Aceh and North Sumatra National Sports Week (PON) in 2024. Unfortunately, the construction of the tourist spot was not completed on time.

Only now has its construction begun to be completed. In this area, RM Rujak U Groh satisfies the tastes of culinary lovers. This restaurant specifically provides a menu of typical Aceh Besar flavors.

In addition to the menus that we usually find, this restaurant provides 19 types of menus that can pamper the tongue. These menus include; fried sie reuboh, stewardess chicken, Acehnese style chicken, eungkot paya, fried eungkot paya, boh itiek deudah, coconut omelet, sour ue, pliek cue sauce.

Last week, I arrived at Bakoy at almost two in the afternoon. At first I thought the restaurant would be quiet. Because, usually since 11 am customers have come. The problem is, at that time all the menus were still hot and warm. So they competed to come early.

It turned out, as soon as I stepped foot in the entrance gate decorated with climbing ornamental plants, the atmosphere immediately felt refreshing. This stall stands in a former rice field area that has now been transformed into a beautiful and comfortable place to sell.

That comfort seems unnecessary to express. However, it can be seen from the number of customers who are enjoying their lunch. Although this restaurant is not like the luxurious restaurants that are often found in cities with a modern form.

The main building of Rujak U Groh is a traditional Acehnese stilt house. There are two stilt houses connected into one. So that the space underneath can be used as a place to eat for visitors.

This condition presents a relaxed and natural atmosphere that is rarely found in modern restaurants. While on the right side is also used as a place to eat. The photos below will explain the condition.

For those of you who want to have lunch here, I inform you that this place is only closed on Fridays. This information is also clearly stated on the left side of the entrance, so that visitors do not go to the wrong place. The management also does not want to be disappointed when they come.
