Enjoying the Deliciousness of Bakso Kampungqu

Recently, I received an invitation from one of my relatives to eat together at Bakso Kampungqu, a newly opened meatball stall located on Medan - Banda Aceh road, Uteunkot Cunda Village, Lhokseumawe City. Because I was curious about the taste of the meatballs, I agreed to the invitation and had the opportunity to directly review this up-and-coming meatball shop.

Upon arrival, I immediately noticed the condition of the shop's front yard. The parking area is quite narrow, only able to accommodate a few motorbikes. Its location on the edge of Medan-Banda Aceh Road, a busy highway, adds its own challenges. Four-wheeled vehicles are forced to park on the roadside or surrounding shophouses, potentially causing complaints from other shop owners.

Bakso Kampungqu has recently become one of the locals' favorite meatball stalls. The place is spacious and clean, with wooden tables that can accommodate 2 to 12 people. On the walls are plastered banners with their signature menu of meatballs and ice teler captain.

The meatball menu here is quite diverse, ranging from regular meatballs to special meatballs with varying prices. The price of ordinary meatballs starts from Rp20,000 or around 9.3 Steem. While special meatballs can reach Rp65,000 or around 30 Steem. (Calculated based on the Steem price on Tuesday, April 1, 2025). Aside from the meatballs, they also offer a wide variety of drinks, including the tantalizing es teler durian.

Since this was my first visit, I decided to order the regular meatballs. After waiting for a while, my order arrived. The meatballs were very flavorful, soft and tender. The meatball soup was also delicious and savory. The meatballs here are indeed delicious and special, even for a regular meatball menu.

I concluded that even the regular meatballs are good, let alone the special meatballs. The higher price seems to be worth the quality and taste. I can imagine how delicious their vein meatballs or specialty meatballs would be.

The service at Bakso Kampungqu also deserves a thumbs up. The waiters were very quick and friendly, helping us immediately and giving us the menu list when we arrived. The drinks are reasonably priced, although some items like the durian ice teler are a bit pricey.

The only drawback of Bakso Kampungqu is the narrow parking area due to its location on a major road, as it does not have a dedicated parking lot so cars have to be parked on the side of the road or nearby shophouses. This of course can disturb other shop owners.

Overall, Bakso Kampungqu is a cozy and clean place with attractive decorations. The flavors of the meatballs are good and very tasty, and the drink options are varied. If you're in Lhokseumawe, don't miss the chance to taste the delicious meatballs at this place.
