Blang Padang Field: Green Heart in the Heart of Banda Aceh City

Good night and happy greetings to all steemians. How are you today? Hopefully all my friends are still in good health and always under the protection of Allah SWT so that they can carry out various activities well. Alhamdulillah on this happy morning I am back to share my daily activities.

Blang Padang is a city park located in the capital of Aceh Province, Banda Aceh City. Talking about Blang Padang certainly cannot be separated from its rich history and important role in various events in the area nicknamed the Veranda of Mecca. Since the Dutch colonial era, Blang Padang field has been used as a place for military parades. After the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Blang Padang field became a silent witness to various important events in Banda Aceh, including state ceremonies to celebrations of other national holidays. For tourists visiting Banda Aceh City, Blang Padang field is a highly recommended destination to visit.

This is very natural considering that Blang Padang field not only offers natural beauty and coolness, but also provides an in-depth experience of Acehnese culture and history. Various supporting facilities are also fully available in the Blang Padang field area. Starting from a children's playground, mini soccer field, to an area for playing kites. Blang Padang field is usually very crowded on weekends, Saturday and Sunday. Blang Padang field is also often used for art activities such as festivals and exhibitions. Blang Padang Field does offer a cool and beautiful atmosphere with large, shady trees all around.

This makes the residents' favorite place a perfect area for exercising or just relaxing. Blang Padang Field also looks clean so it is very suitable for every visitor who comes, both from the Banda Aceh area and those from outside the city. The crowd was also seen when my family and I visited Blang Padang Field on Sunday afternoon (July 6, 2025). Blang Padang Field in the afternoon was filled with children playing accompanied by their respective parents. The various games available are an exciting place. No exception for Raffa who was so happy playing that he didn't want to go home.
