A Place Called "MAKOKO" - (Scribble Drawing).

It's my birth month and I feel quite elated about it. A community of Artists I belong to where we share ideas and reference pictures for us all to work with and work on was where the particular reference I used for the drawing above was shared and I'm gald I made an attempt on it!
MAKOKO is a place in Lagos, Nigeria where people live in wooden houses built on water and it's quite a big community where you would find many people fishing on daily basis since they live on water. This particular place had been used my several people to portray and highlight the evidence of poverty in Lagos, Nigeria, and Africa at large but the sincere truth is the place could look and appear as a place people could easily condem and question when it comes to the idea of affluence but these people?! I've learnt that lots of them would rather live nowhere else but the waters!
