Chufut Kale

Hello, friends from the community!
I hope you'll excuse my absence for a while. A short trip to another city, the lack of a computer with a full-fledged image editor, and problems on our platform... I hope it's all over.

On my trip, I visited the ancient fortress of Chufut Kale. Judging by the roads (1, 2) this settlement on the mountain is older than it is officially considered. I think that the Jews built this fortress on some more ancient foundation.

In this regard, I had a desire to process the photos in an unusual style for me. This is not the final version, it is the beginning of the path.

The intervention you made in the photos gives them a touch of unreality, which I immediately connected with your comment about how ancient that fortress really is.
I imagined walking shadows, which, without actually being ghosts, are the traces of the first people who arrived at the site.
An interesting experiment; I'm looking forward to seeing the final version.
Hugs.

Glad to see you and thank you for your kind words!
Initially, Mr. Monocle worked and "unreality" was his doing))
I only slightly interfered with the color scheme and exposure.

I'm not sure if this is the best solution. Perhaps sepia or something else would be appropriate here.

By the way, sometimes I add some elements to the picture, for example, someone's shadow... maybe even a ghost...))
I'll think about it. :)

My first thought was: this is home and I would love to be (read: live) there. I had a look at the the other two posts. They look so different from these (due to the blue sky and for some reason more recent),
Would sepia be better? I am not so sure since sepia is more modern than what Mr. Monocle presented.

I agree, Mr. Monocle can see the invisible))
You're probably right about sepia. Sepia ages a photograph, it refers to history, but it does not emphasize the antiquity of the object in the photo, it only hints (this is purely my thinking, maybe I'm wrong).
I will try to find a color scheme that will emphasize the antiquity of the subject itself. But there is no clear plan yet :)
Thank you for your opinion.
