My malprogress on my little canvass
Things are not going as planned from the color, illusion/effects, and everything.

I already broke one brush, now laying down on my plastic envelope with an extra canvass inside it which I use as m palette.

I am making use of carboard paper from one of the boxes of my supplements as my painting knife. What I am working on is tiny and I guess it adds to the difficulty.
I continued my work yesterday after going home from dialysis because I need to show some progress. Again it is really hard to have a backpain issue plus the fact that I am having trouble working on my little canvass. It is when I apply the color, it won't "go" on how I want it gets applied on the surface where for example if I work it out, the paint eventually gets stripped-off. I think that I needed to use other means of applying paint like rags, foams, or sponges so that paint would get applied evenly.
All aspects of doing this art is truly hard for me including what paint to use. I am only using for now the small 5 mL acrylic paint tubes and just combining them to make some color. When I try to make a lighter color, it still ends up going dark. The plan is to make a gradual intensity in color as the "subjects in the canvass" goes forward to create that depth that I want, but because I wasn't able to do that, the painting looks tragic for me simply because it is not I want to do.
But I will try what I can do with all my physical abilities, because it is painful. I only have some ideas as my guide and nothing more except to watch and observe some skilled painters online on how they do theirs. It is a great thing because at least I can learn a bit without going to hire someone to teach me so it makes me know what to do for free although I need to learn 99% of what I need o know no to mention the problem of physical aspect on working on it. But I also lack is skill and talent so even though I see it done for example, I cannot truly recreate it and end-up do not knowing how to do it when it comes to the actual practice on the dreaded canvass.
Well again as much as I want to enjoy it, I cannot last even for a short while in doing this new hobby. That is why I end-up taking some pain reliever for my back today to give me some relief if the resulting torture and yet I have done a substantial addition to the canvass. I also find it difficult to talk to the camera because I did planned to talk while doing the painting but it is not possible anymore, I even don't recognize my own voice anymore and it makes me feel embarrassed about it, and I also lose my train of thoughts when I do speak which is why I pause when I want to convey things through spoken words.
Anyway, it will take me too much time to finish-up this piece because I have not much idea but maybe I will put crazy things on it. The canvass size is relatively long it for me and I might put many elements to it for as long as I get ideas on what to put on it. It is better to try and I might produce a painting worthwhile to be hung and displayed around this house...where people can't see it.

I need you to focus on the painting. I only see negative thoughts. Everything can seem impossible when you start. I could triple the list of negative things, from where I stand, from the space where I live. I think what you've painted is very good. You clearly use shadows, which add texture. Harmony in the colors you've used.
I also have some paintings I've had to discard. But everything brings experiences. Keep it up.

Thank you @almaguer for your encouragement and praise. It is a daunting task for mw in doing this type of work but I hope to pick-up the skills and talent through time and I still have a long way to go to create a good enough work because I started late plus my backbone adding to the difficulty and lessening my enjoyment in painting.
Okay, first comes first
It doesn't look like a disaster to me and you can for sure fix this one.
If it comes to the brushes some easily break even if right out of the package while others last for years.
I believe you should use a sponge or cloth to wipe the colour over the entire canvas This will go quick and you can let it rest till the next day.
You can paint with with nearly everything. Try out what feels best for you. Again it can be a sponge to dot the clouds, shape the mountains and dot with the sponge on different parts of the mountain (safe the pencils for details or let it be)
water is the same as the sky and mountains, just smear the paint on the canvast . You can use different layers. Let it rest till you know what you will do next.
Keep in mind that the great old masters rarely made a painting within one day, it was more like a year or even years and in many cases they weren't the only ones working on it, their students did too. The Mona Lisa for example is never finished.
It will be very hard to make a lighter colour. If you mix paint it goes from light to dark. You take a light colour and ad a tiny bit of dark to it (unless you will need a lot of paint.
If you want to make light what is already dark on your canvash you need layers and "wash" it... so a wet brush/cloth/sponge and a tiny bit of a light colour (white/yellow, light blue) and add that layer and see what happens. You can practice
It would be could to have a board you can place on the easel and tape a big paper on so you can try out different ways of working. If you have cardboard (like from a box) you can use that too to practice with the colours, brushes and so on.
@almaguer his first paintings were landscapes too. I hope he can give you some tips and show you what he used for an example and technique.
So far so good, Rome is not built over night and what we have in our mind is rarely what we create (and least not with me).
Don't give up, and let me know if you need something.

Hi Miss @wakeupkitty, thank you about these pointers I will try them out, it will take time but I guess it is the way considering that I am easily het bored plus the frustration is setting in on me.
But I will have to be patient and take my time on working on this piece. I just wish that I can paint while lying down because it is an added challenge to even pick up and open the small jars of paint I've bought about a week ago, that is how weak my hands and arms are which adds frustration.
Thank you for all your love and support. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🌹🌹🌹
Firstly, I would like to welcome to you to the art and artist community.
As an artist myself, I sure would tell you that you've made a beautiful attempt here, the act of painting can be scary at times and it happens to even the most successful and professional set of painters, you've started and the more you practice, the better you get. You got get a glue that could hold wood and iron together to repair your broken brush, for the mixing of paint, add white to a particular colour to increase the brightness and intensity for distance, you could mix red, blue, yellow together to get a deep gray which you can then use to tone down the vibrancy of a particular colour to create distance. I hope this helps. Once again, you're welcome here 🤗

Hi @tezzmax thank you for the warm welcome. Yeah I am struggling with the distance or depth which I want to do but apparently I failed. Maybe because I haven't added more lighter lighter colors or white which I should have so I can make what should be an undetailed object. Thank you for your pointers.👍💓
Hi friend. If you practice and practice one day you will be a great painter. But this is a good start.
