Autumn Sunset at the Rocky Mountains

I painted this landscape while visiting my dear nephew and niece-in-law's this year, as a housewarming gift. They and their their two lovely boys are a joy to be around. The oldest one just started middle school! Oh my, how time flies when you're having fun, right? I so enjoy my yearly visits with them, especially at Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving and Autumn...what a perfect combination! Coming from the tropics, Autumn is a gift to the senses for me. The air is crisp and cool, the trees put on the brightest of shows; they just explode with the brightest of yellows, crimsons, and every other hue in between. Oh my goodness! And what can I say about the sunrises and sunsets? Wow, wow, wow. They are UNBELIEVABLY beautiful. It's hard to do it justice in a simple painting, but I gave it a try. My nephew and niece liked it a lot but the kids, well, they wanted to know why I didn't include some bears (😂 ).
