Captain Cardinal.

Been seeing this amazing bird a lot lately, thinking it might be living around my hood. Probably my favorite bird at the moment. Ever since I moved to Montreal, I’ve been in love with the color red, and the cardinal hits all the right notes.

They say cardinals are messengers from the spirit world, showing up when someone you love is near. I don’t know if that’s true, but I like the idea.
What’s wild is I’ve been singing to them in a soft tone when I see them, and they sing right back. I just found out both male and female cardinals sing, so maybe we really are singing to each other.
