Everyday Struggle

We hear about the new normal. What the hell is that? So shelter in place changed who we are?
Not really. We are still the same humanity no matter what social media says. We have the same insecurities and fears. The everyday struggle is real. Pandemic or not we suffer life with every breath we take. It is the human condition. There is no let up till the ground eventually swallows us. Nothing stops the bleeding. You bandage the wound but the stitches break. Love fails. Love ones die. You lose your job. You become homeless. Cops kill you for the skin you were gifted. Religious strife and genocidal regimes. Crazy politicians try to remake the world in their own image. And our tears drowns out love. This was always the new normal and nothing besides.
