SmileyAppics Week 10 Contest - Favorite Food: "Bagnet Kare Kare" I was busy all-day ...

... yesterday (Sunday) going here and there and everywhere then found this Sizzling Hot Plate Dish for lunch exactly 3pm. Though late, I still have my appetite and found this favorite food of mine Kare-kare. A native Filipino dish that I have featured during my first ever contest in the Philippines.

Yes! It was a twist to make the pork cooked as another different dish that we have here which is Bagnet (Pork cooked to be super crispy from the outside and still tender on the inside)

The KareKare usually uses super tender beef as the main ingredient. The sauce is mainly a dissolved peanut paste. The veggies are steamed sliced eggplant and blanched beans and Pak choy (Pechay) softer leaf cabbage.

To add flavor and taste to the whole dish, it has a salty shrimp-paste beside the Java Rice.

Now the twist here is that when you dip the super crunchy pork to the peanut paste with a pinch of the shrimp-paste then it tastes magical!

A stressful day that turned my day satisfying after that first bite.
