SC S25W3: Drawing Shojo Anime.

Shojo is a type of anime aimed at young teenage girls, focusing mainly on romance and female student life. It can also include themes of fantasy, action, and adventure, often revolving around the lives of the main characters.

In terms of art style, characters in this genre are typically young girls with beautiful and graceful features. While the style may differ, common traits include large, expressive eyes and intricate hairstyles. Since romance is a key theme, bright colors and vivid brightness are often used to express these emotions.

I have chosen Nakahara and this style is linked to the series Kimi ni Todoke, known for its characters with large, expressive eyes that effectively show emotions, along with detailed clothing and hairstyles.

Starting my drawing, I used a clean white sheet, pencils, sharpener and eraser.

I started drawing a vertical line along with horizontal line to get the right proportions for my drawing. Then, I worked on the outline, beginning with a reference circle for the face.

I went ahead to draw the bold eyes and other important details needed for the face. I sketched the eyes, which are big, bright, and full of expression. I shaded the the necessary parts that needs to be shaded and outlined them accordingly.

I kept going, shading every part of the singlet, then I highlighted the hair and added some extra strands; as you know, hair is often the most beautiful part of a girl, so I made that effect and included some basic shading.

In the end, I put some highlights on the hair, giving some dark shades for some parts and then a lighter shade for the other parts. I then highlighted and shaded them
