What do you understand by the word Home?

Home is a word that can assume many meanings depending on its use and the context to which it is applied. Depending on usage, it could mean that physical place, the house where we live. It could be extended to mean the permanent address where we come from.
In my opinion, home is far more than the physical house or apartment where we live. It is more of a social setting and arrangement where people are placed in positions of authority, and such persons feel it is their obligation to care for and protect members of that setting we called home. The care and protection creates the feeling of comfort and security while in and around the confines of the home territory.
From this restful feeling, we start developing a sentimental attachment for the people and the environment, always craving to go back to that place where we can call a comfort zone or home.

Describe your home in two or more paragraphs.

It was conceived as a mutual agreement between my wife and I, to support and care for each other to the end of our days. To facilitate this, a physical house was needed to provide physical comfort, security, and a measure of privacy and a sense of ownership. A modest space, equiped with simple furnishings and fetures to make life easier and comfortable.
When we move from one house to another, the feeling of home moved from that house to the new one. At some point, we started sharing the home with our kids as they came. An extension of this home goes back to our parents, who relate to our kids as grandparents and linking in siblings whom our kids see as uncles and aunts. This can grow into a community, a people, a nationality, to a point where the Earth is our home.

Who are the occupants of your home currently?

My home is currently made up of myself, my wife, and my kids. We are still in the development stage. We are moulding the kids based on our core values and dreams. Our hope is to build a strong moral compass that will make our home a haven of peace, cooperation, and love. A new nucleus of the community built around selfless concern for each other.

Why do people say Home Sweet Home?

After being homesick. The phrase "Home Sweet Home" comes as one of the commonest expressions of warmth, comfort, and affection we are feeling towards the people and place we call home. It is a very strong feeling born out of that sense of belonging, security, and happiness that comes with being in your own space - that familiar environment where we are actively surrounded by people who needs us, love us and cares about us. A place where we have that special feeling that even the environment is trying to protect us.

To many, it is as if they were holding their breath all this while and The phrase "Home Sweet Home" is that sigh of relief, joy from the nostalgia. It is that feeling expressed in the words "I am home at last", after we have been away for a long time craving to come home. Home has always been a special place, it is our anchor point, and we use the "Home Sweet Home" phrase to celebrate the idea that there's no other place like home!
