Ruleset Adaptation & Evolution: Battle competition

in Account Booster 👍23 hours ago

Greetings,

Interesting start to the weekend, it is a blessed day over here, I hope you are doing well my friends.

Have you finished the week in a positive note?

It was a short seven days in July already gone yet much was done on both side the office tasks and on Hive network. My season on Splinterlands has started without much action on the battlefield.

The community engagement challenge of the week caught me off guard. I was not expecting such attention on the rulesets.

A /. Combat Ruleset

In this edition I will share the combat of the modern league when I was not sure to grab the victory but the ruleset and the cards in my team created the right set of actions that led to the victory.

The game rulesets were as followed

Healed out: No option of healing or health boost was not permitted on the battlefield

Cards restriction to only warriors equipped of 3 or more melee magic and range characteristic of combat.

I have almost forgotten the mana for this game set to 24. The count-down went fast, but I rapidly managed to submit my favorite warriors right on time.

Here is what happened on the battlefield as the arena open his door to the spectators to view the engagement in the arena.

B /. Battlefield: alignment of abilities

My team had Lorkus the amazing summoner who can bost ally melee and magic attacks points at the same time. It is a bonus that will cost me seven mana but it is worth it.

I was in a situation where I could not play too much with the warriors in my collection because of the mana shrinking fast. The decision when to the powerful melee offensive cards such as Venka and Vizier.

I would love to add magic warriors in this selection but my cards were in recovery mode so not available to enter the arena. The only option I got left to complete the team was the addition of a range warrior who will play a tanker as some point in this combat so I chose

LorkusRefugee
Conjurer
VileVizier

The second team

EndlessSlade
Shaman

The opposite side of the arena was ready for a melee brute force attacks, with Slade leading the charge.
I had this warrior in my collection, he is strong but consume too much mana for this battle. The restriction from the ruleset originated this hard build team in my opinion.

C /. Strategies

It was a pleasure to see that my side could develop coordinate strikes on the opposite side of the board.

If the opponent had thorns on his side of the board, I will have been defeat with ease, but luck was on my side.

I protected Vile and made sure Refugee and Conjurer slowed down as long as possible the enemy.

Despite the range attack reduction from Endless, the operation worked and Venka weakened enough the opponents before the last strike.

Slade resisted to all the melee attacks, using Dodge and the speed to avoid my offensive operation.

D /. Boost your lineup

I could not have done this operation successfully with out the help of Venka and Lorkus.

Conjurer and Vizier added to the team effort better after the level up of each card unlocked valuable statistic for such combat.

I was able to beat the opponent because I boosted the level of my cards in the collection. Therefore, the ruleset did not push me in a corner, only allowing to the arena a short list of cards unequipped to face the challenge.

E /. Final thoughts

I believe that Splinters should diversify their cards in the collection to adapt their strategy to ruleset present in the ranking arena.

Level up your cards level and benefit from key abilities like the Venka abilities in a tough battle where a single element on your side can generate amazing advantage to your side.

Have great games this week in the arena and the tournaments.
