Weniger US Großkonzerne in meinem leben![GER/ENG]
Die politische Lage zwischen der EU und den Vereinigten Staaten ist momentan sehr angespannt, weshalb ich anfangen möchte, mehr aus Europa, Kanada und Mexiko zu konsumieren!
Mir ist klar, dass dies in einigen Bereichen leichter ist als in anderen. Die einfachen Bereiche sind die folgenden:
Meine Spiele werde ich, sofern möglich, nur noch bei GOG kaufen. Dies hat den Vorteil, dass ich meine Spiele auch herunterladen und offline sichern kann.
Im Mai werde ich mit meiner E-Mail, meinem VPN und meinen Daten in der Cloud zu Proton Plus wechseln.
Als KI werde ich Le Chat benutzen oder lokale LLMs.
Da ich Manjaro nutze, muss ich mir beim Betriebssystem keine Gedanken machen, denn Manjaro wird in Deutschland und Frankreich entwickelt.
Als Suchmaschine benutze ich Ecosia aus Berlin. Zwar arbeitet Ecosia mit Bing und Google zusammen für die Suchergebnisse, aber dies geschieht weitgehend anonym.
Sobald die Beta von Teamspeak 6 vorbei ist und man eigene Teamspeak 6 Server hosten kann, werde ich wohl zu Discord ade sagen.
Als WhatsApp-Ersatz könnte ich Threema benutzen, da mir aufgefallen ist, dass ich die App irgendwann mal gekauft habe :DBei Lebensmitteln findet sich so gut wie immer eine Alternative. Demnächst werde ich als Ersatz für Coke und Pepsi wohl Vita Cola testen, zum Beispiel.
Dies war der einfache Teil, nun kommen wir zu dem schwierigen Teil.

I will, if possible, only buy my games from GOG. This has the advantage that I can also download my games and back them up offline.

This was the easy part, now we come to the difficult part.
Für mich als Streamer ist es fast unmöglich, mich von Amazon zu lösen, denn immerhin ist Amazon der Besitzer von Twitch.Amazon Prime hat für mich einfach zu viele Vorteile, wie der Prime Sub, Amazon Prime Video und Prime Gaming, wo ich regelmäßig kostenlos Games für GOG bekomme.
Auf den kostenlosen Prime Versand könnte ich verzichten, auch wenn es schmerzen würde. Schlimmer ist, dass ich fast automatisch bei Amazon schaue, wenn ich etwas anderes als Lebensmittel kaufen möchte.
Auch von Google und Android sich zu lösen ist fast unmöglich für mich, denn dieses kleine Ding namens Smartphone ist nicht mehr wegzudenken aus der Gesellschaft.
Auch Social Media ist im Prinzip fest in der Hand der USA.Bis auf Mastodon kommt eigentlich alles an Social Media aus den USA. Ich kann auf Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky und TikTok verzichten, aber Threads möchte ich nicht hergeben.
Bei meiner Recherche für diesen Post bin ich auf folgende kleine Webseite gestoßen: European Alternatives. Da werde ich sicherlich nochmal stöbern.
Habt ihr schon darüber nachgedacht, euch weniger abhängig von großen US-Konzernen zu machen und habt schon Sachen ausprobiert?In Sachen Lebensmittel will ich demnächst mal schauen, was Kanada und Mexiko so zu bieten haben und was man so hier in Deutschland bekommen kann.
