Short Diary on Saturday and Short Talk about some patients | Photography
Hi there. How are you? I hope you are doing great. Welcome to my Post, which is the short Saturday Diary. I talked about a few random patients.
I consulted 31 patients in my chamber on Saturday. I started my morning shift with an acute abdominal pain patient. He had had right flank pain since the previous night, along with one-time vomiting and somewhat urinary abnormalities. The urine report was consistent with the presence of a renal stone. I gave him painkiller injections and asked him to do an abdominal scan. If he comes with the report, we will know the confirmed diagnosis.
Another guy came with right upper abdominal pain (just below the right rib cage). He was having such pain for a little over one month. The pain radiates to the surrounding areas. The pain usually increases after eating something. On examination, the maximum tenderness was found at the tip of the right 9th rib. Hence, it was most probably a GB issue- stones or infections. I asked him to do an abdominal scan, too.
Another hypertensive patient came to me. A few days ago, his hypertension was diagnosed during a visa medical fitness test. I prescribed him BP-lowering medicine that day. This time, I found his BP still quite high (180/110 mmHg). I asked him if he was taking the BP medicines or not. He said that his wife told him to stop the medicine and eat something sour instead, for BP!! Pretty stupid guy listened to his wife!
At home, I had a second round of morning sleep and a short afternoon nap. My son had an online Quran class at 2 pm. I had to accompany him. He didn't have the English class at 10 pm. Hence, I got the chance to walk on the treadmill. I walked for 20 minutes. I could do 11,885 steps on Saturday (according to the Fitbit app).
Okay. That's all for today. Alhamdulillah, I am alive, healthy, and thriving. How about you?
