ShortFilm: An Object At Rest
What's not to love about this animation? Who says stones have no feelings? There are numerous stories about the origin of the world, where the first holy beings are... rocks. While watching, an extreme tiredness came over me. I felt like that stone wishing to be left alone and lie its head to sleep.

Like this animation. Film and music fit well, it's a bit sad indeed. Fascinating to watch what one can do with one piece.

I think they have no feelings but it gives natural looks and save people from flooding damages. Without rocks, there's no mountain to see. It adds beauty to the world.
As you can see the rock is used in hundreds of different ways. I just hoped to see a different type of glass 🤣
Love this animation. It really makes one goes into deeper thoughts and consideration for things around them. Humans tend to take things for granted.
Time makes, time breaks, and time transforms. I am fascinated by time, wondering where I am billions of years ago and where I will be after time.
My goal is to be with God in eternity because in there, there is no time but pure joy.
No time is a human concept. Imagine there was no time in our lives. What would it look like. Would we worry about running out of time?

Time really is human and eternity, divine.
We are affected by time because we get to be born, get old (for some), wither, and die, like flowers in a field.
But if we are spirits, one million years will just be like one minute.
You are already a spirit my friend, we all are and that body we drag around is just a bad wrapping paper. I see it as a journey, we learn, hopefully have some fun, kill a lot of time while waiting and that's basically it.
How was your day? I painted 3 times yesterday and while standing, I felt my back. Only the small one I liked but it's harder to paint. I am trying out to make a painting with mainly the sponge. It goes way faster. I can tell you that.

It sucks to feel that I do not seem to belong in this world anymore because I am not thriving. I just want to finish up my goals which makes me need more time. It is a challenge to live because I do not like uncertainties and I hope God would give me some more patience and mercy.
I do like to kill time and it seems that it is what I am doing, waiting and waiting until I am no more. It is frustrating being on a leash where I can't do what I wanted, my mind is willing but my body has the last laugh.
Anyway my heart is more relaxed if I am not drinking coffee unlike last week where I drank so much it made me palpitate coupled with low blood sugar which gave me symptoms of further palpitations, weakness, and cold sweats not to mention breathing issues.
I thought I would die but my chest is not tight so I guess my heart is still ok. Anyway I might do some art later. I am planning to draw what I wanted to paint before painting on my current work.
I think I need some more brush because I don't want to have my hands wet. God-willing I will do these things soon. Miss @wakeupkitty

I am happy you are still around and trust me I know how it feels if you are only waiting, waiting and waiting, while you have a head filled with ideas but the body (and lack of money) won't let you.
You should buy some big brushes, I have only one and am trying it out right now. If you paint wet on wet it's easier to make the strokes.
I watched a guy who shows paintings in 10 minutes (not quiet) but he paints on a small canvas and with brushes in a way which might help you.

I might need such a brush like what this artist have because part of the difficulty I noticed was the little brushes although a true artist really can have no trouble in using limited materials.
He indeed makes art like drawing a stick person and it is quite brilliant. Many years ago I saw a little painting displayed on the wall. It is a painting of a basketful of flowers. I think the size is about 3x3 inches or less and I found it to be very beautifully done. It is an oil painting because of the thickness of the paint.
Anyway, using a spray bottle is essential it seems because of the fact that the acrylic pain does dries-out quick. I still have to learn more and I hope to continue as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience for me Miss @wakeupkitty 💗💗💗🌹🌹🌹

I never used a spray bottle for acrylic and it doesn't dry fast with me. You can make the acrylic more fluid by adding water.
If it comes to watercolour I can imagine it's practical if you paint wet on wet which should go fast.
I try out brushes now. The last days I only used two. One is a 0.5 inch (a bit bigger) brush and the other is meant for makeup (eye liner).
The fine one is not only good for lines but also makes the paint darker (I used it here for water colour - wet on dry - the brush doesn't hold much water but a lot of paint (it's more scrubbed in).
👇 acrylic without varnish

The big brush I use now goes fast for smaller sizes (I recomment a bigger one if you want to paint bigger) this one is soft (straight top great for lines) and doesn't damage the paper I use too much.
Painting is a process. Trying out the brushes and one type of paper/canvas is important.
♥️🍀
@almaguer it's hot inside with you. Do you use a spray bottle? Do you add water or is the paint fluid enough? Do you store what is left on the pallet?

What does DM stand for?
A good weekend.

Well, I differ a little from your observation, the stones are just stones, but I liked the animation and I understand what you mean at the end.
That's enough. Thanks for stopping by.

what a sad story. The rock had many use before leaving earth. Poor thing😔
💯
But the rock arises again as we can see, just not on earth.
It's amazing indeed how much can be done with one rock.
Thanks for stopping by and watching.
