The Role Model to instruct and brainwash

in CCC7 days ago

who inspired me to instruct myself

To me, this sounds like the worst thing that could happen to someone. As if you’re trapped in some kind of reformatory, being drilled into becoming someone you’re not. It also strongly reminds me of the military and something I recently read, a text by Dr. Simon that I agree with and no, he didn't inspire me since I am older..

I was once invited to be part of a “free speech” organization. Sounded great. Until I actually spoke freely.
I criticized someone they supported. Politely. With facts. I was told I could continue, of course, that I had “freedom of speech”, but it might have “consequences.” That was their warning. Then I got kicked out.
These are the same people who publicly preach 100% commitment to free expression. Turns out, it only applies if you say the right things.
And it’s not just them. Across the board, “free speech” has become a hollow slogan. Pro-Israel groups keep publicly supporting liberty and rights, until someone criticizes Israel. Then it’s censorship, blacklists, deportation threats, accusations of extremism, etc. Same with gender ideology. Same with vaccines. Same with anything that challenges their tribe.
Now the U.S. is pushing laws that would literally criminalize certain opinions about Israel. That’s not free speech. That’s not democracy. That’s the state deciding which political views are allowed, and calling the rest hate speech.
Free speech doesn’t mean “freedom to agree.” It means exactly the opposite. It means being able to say things that make people uncomfortable. That challenge power. That question everything.
If free speech ends the moment it’s inconvenient, it was never real to begin with.
Either you believe in freedom or you believe in control. You can’t have bot)h.
Dr. Simon source

Do we really need someone to drill us and serve as an example we must follow? In my opinion, that’s an idea that was once invented and pushed onto people, just like all those other slogans spread as memes to keep morale up. Statements that rarely have anything to do with real life, or where deeply unhappy people try to keep up appearances.

I agree with @udyliciouz that far from everyone has someone they idolise. I’ve never been a fan of anyone, never had an idol, and though I adore words and remember quotes throughout my life, that doesn’t mean the person who originally wrote or said them is my role model, or that I want to become like them.

I also don’t believe we’re capable of looking into someone else’s heart, let alone their mind and know what truly drives them. What we hear and see is the result of how we are raised, combined with using our brains. If you never question, if tunnel vision is what counts, you'll never know.

I could guess who I might have been, but only because I see things I have in common if it comes to certain behaviour or because we deal with the same societal pressures. People who praise you one day and burn you at the stake the next.

I wonder how many people have had an idol who turned out to be an absolute monstera rapist, molester, trafficker of women and children, pedophile, thief, fraudster, hypocrite. Or that smooth-talking liar who, after emptying the vault, coolly starts over by claiming to be the epitome of honesty.
How many thought Mother Teresa was righteous? So much of history is swept under the rug, murderers get statues, Nazis are hailed as national heroes, and genocide suddenly becomes acceptable when committed by a certain group. It makes me think we’ve all collectively lost our minds (something that was already painfully clear during the C19 spectacle).

The average human isn't a role model worth following, unless you want to become a criminal, in which case, this planet has plenty op people who can offer this course.

Most is not positive zeteo.com is a good example, and I wish my child had never shown it. Imagine such people are role models
See @gertu for the contest: Let's talk about....

Sort:

I can understand that. There are always that someone that would try to force others to follow them, with a smile probably. Until you refused them, you will understand that free will means nothing to them.

Sometimes you might not see what you like about the people that force you to follow them and that makes is tiring.

I believe we do see it but we try to remain polite which takes a lot of energy if you see your abused/used or manipulated.

Those doing it with a smile are the most creepy since it's hard to refuse and you never know what they are up to.

I can imagine them like that anime smiling skull/skeleton

Saludos apreciado amigo.

The word "instruct" doesn't have a positive vibe on me. If I look around me as long as I live I mainly see people being forced for different reasons and those with some hysteria following... and once they feel "disappointed by the image of their inspirator" they get agressive and break that person.

Can be a lamguage interpretation or cultural one but this is how I see it.

Thanks for sharing your view.

Así es apreciado amigo. Todos tenemos filosofías partiendo de nuestras verdades. Te deseo éxitos y bendiciones siempre.

The word “educate” is about what leads you to grow. You don't need to go to college to educate yourself, you can do it self-taught. Human beings have always looked for people to follow, to serve as a stimulus to move forward.
I think it is a great stimulus that you want to grow, to move forward either following someone who inspires you or doing it independently, just following your own ideas.
It's a world where we all fit, but there are people who want to be alone in it.

Inspiration is something that leads us towards achieving something we also want. When it is about effortlessly getting what the other has, this is called envy. In the effort that you impose on yourself to achieve your own success, is your inspiration.

We live in a world where there is good and evil. I know criminals whose children become role models. In such cases, their parents influenced them as "counter-examples"; and I also know parents with impeccable conduct whose children are scoundrels. That means that, when it comes to inspirational influences, we have two options: "Be the same as..." or "Be different from..." Regardless of whether they are close relatives or not.

There is a certain opinion that children of psychotic, antisocial, depressive, criminal, etc. people inherit some tendency from their parents to be like their parents. There is free will, you can choose to do good or do evil, whatever inspires you best. That being that you prepare or who inspires you in your mind, that will be you.

Sometimes writing about my role model make me feels like am I trying to fake my write up about what does not exist. Or does it exist and I do not know?. Looking at some successful person makes me work hard and want to be successful like them or more. Could they be my role model?
The people don't even know I exist or someone is admiring them. I see people succeed and I find out how they did it. Could that be my inspiration. I was calm when I see you reply you don't have a role model or someone who inspired you and that calms my nerves. Which I will drop my entry shortly about who inspired me.
I really appreciate your article.

What if the role model isn't a person but life experiences? Wat if what harmed us or we dislike is what drives us to do it different?
Wat if we are who we are? Is it possible to be like someone else? Aren't we all unique?

Is there a need to be the copy-cat of someone? Why should we? I never felt that need and I do not see a VIP as a better example than the lady doing the laundry or the man collecting trash.
Why on earth should I admire someone rich, always in the spotlights trying to have the publique at his side with the main goal to make an income?

What is succes or being successful?
Who will measure that? I believe the only person who can is you.

It's my believe many role models are fake people and I don't like to hang around with them and for sure not admire those who obviously lie and manipulate like I see many do on social media.

No one needs a copy of them. No one needs an artist who draws the same as the entire class.
They might need you though, with your unique view on life, food, the way you love, care or cry or pet a shoulder. The words you leave behind which always someone will remember. A someone you might not know s/he exists and with that you might have become a role model yourself. 😉

Happy Pentecost
♥️🍀

As a child growing up, I admired certain things, but as I grow up such things do not appear nice to appear nice or great to me. That is the reason for some changes as I grow older and this I learn through life's experiences. I learn to motivate myself and me the person I am today that doesn'take me condemned or feel others should do the way I did. What works for me may not work for others.

Thank you dear friend for your valuable comment, I really appreciate. Please have a blessed day.

It seems to me that you are your own role model, and why not? Since you know yourself better than anyone and know what you're capable of. It's great that you're proud of yourself and that you can do what many others can't: motivate yourself and keep yourself busy. Shouldn't that be a normal thing to do? Seriously, how come everyone needs a psychiatrist and a life coach? I find it ridiculous to pay someone to tell you how to live your life and even pay for it. It's the world up side down. It would be good if parets teach children from a young age on to keep themselves busy, explore and do as much as possible. It's the only way to learn what you like and dislike.

Yes I have comet I discovered that teaching children how to explore and make a good thing out of themselves is what really matters.

I have always said that we must accept the opinions of others because I believe that no one owns the truth.
Free will exists and we are all free to do and say whatever we want and also accept the consequences of it. Except in countries where the truth is always expressed by whoever has more power.

If you ask me surpressed is everywhere the case including families. The pressure also comes from being liked or more; : being afraid to be disliked. That's where the keeping up appearances and lies start next to fear and tiptoeing through life because there is always someone feeling insulted, hurt or discriminated which results in no freedom of speech.

You gave the answer: 👇

we are all free to do and say whatever we want and also accept the consequences

But I doubt there is much left of free will after a child is moulded at the age of 5 or 6.

I believe that there are still many places where the behavior of a human being is violently molded. There are marriages where the husband wants to beat and try to change his partner in his way of being and thinking. I know of cases of people who were kidnapped and then loved their kidnappers. I know of cases of children who were used from their young age to instruct them in evil.
But when these people are released, they remain under the same pressure they were under at the beginning? or somehow they change because their thinking tries to be free. Many try to be people who are inspired more toward the good than the bad.
Inspiration has always existed. We can be inspired toward evil or toward goodness, or have both.
