Despite my food photos in contests, I do NOT have a sweet tooth. In fact, I take care when consuming sugar. As a boy, I had weight problems, but I overcame them and now I to exercise and follow a diet. However, on weekends I DO eat something sweet. Life is only one and denying ourselves something if we exercise would be absurd.
I think that exaggerations are the problem, we can consume sugar but in moderation and obviously try to burn calories.

I think that is debatable. Some say we should eat healthy (then a full stop). Whether it is sugar or another ingredient, we should think if it is healthy or not.

I agree with you that life should be lived and we should not deny ourselves everything.
It goes wrong if we keep craving and we cannot find the reason.
Btw stress is a good reason to eat chocolate 😁
I gladly skip all the other meals tp compemsate the calories, same for cheese.

I never had a sweet tooth and no one I know has (except for chocolate but I don't have it piled up besides I don't like all types of chocolate and there isn't much for sale ☹️).

Sweet tooth or not, I like your food photos they are so much better than what is shown here in average.

P. S. To proof you eat healthy place some lettuce next to the dessert 😉

I was missing this comment, it is one of my favorite topics. All my life I have struggled with my food cravings.
I think I am not a normal woman because to me food means so much.

For many years of my young adult life I exercised daily and ate diets that I hated, I never learned how to eat. Now that I am older, I am obese but now I know a little more about how to nourish myself. I have seasons when I like to accompany my snacks with delicious chocolates, but I do seasons with zero sugar.
I can go 5 months without sugar and carbs, I lose my weight and then I spend a few months eating my delicious chocolates and natural juices. So I don't keep gaining but I stay overweight by doing this.
I guess I have a sweet tooth. hehe

Saya makan dan itu tergantung kondisi dan situasi, saya lebih suka makan seperti keripik, kue bawang atau kembang loyang yang tidak ada manisnya sama sekali karena yang membuatnya adalah saya sendiri.

Saya sering membuat kue yang manis tapi saya malas untuk makan, tapi anak-anak saya suka, kalau saya di suguhkan makanan manis di tempat orang mungkin saya akan mengambil sedikit saja untuk menghargai orang tersebut.

Karena sejatinya kalau tidak suka tak mungkin bisa di paksakan untuk memakannya, terkadang saya suka mual kalau makan makanan yang manis, minuman saja tidak semua saya sukai, seperti teh namun kalau teh hijau saya suka dan gulanya jangan banyak agak tawar dan di minum saat sedang hangat itu sangat nikmat sekali.

Sulit untuk menemukan seseorang yang tidak menyukai gula dalam makanan manis, saya ucapkan selamat kepada Anda karena Anda tidak melewatkan makanan yang bergizi.

Saya biasanya minum minuman bebas gula, seperti kopi, limun, dan jus.
Saya kecanduan minum kopi setiap pagi, saya minum hingga 4 cangkir, hanya di pagi hari, tapi tanpa gula. Saya sudah menyiapkan lidah untuk tidak mengonsumsi kopi dengan gula sampai-sampai saya menolak kopi dengan gula karena rasanya yang tidak enak.

Saya pikir ketika saya menyukai sesuatu untuk dimakan, saya menyukai makanan manis, seperti kopi dan cokelat di sore hari. Tapi saya tidak makan cokelat setiap hari.

Saya minum teh hijau dari daun tanaman saya di kebun tapi saya menaruh beberapa daun tanaman stevia di dalamnya dan saya suka rasanya.

I love sweets since my childhood, especially chocolates and Rasgully. After every meal, I always try to eat something sweet but my mother stop me. When I eat sweet, it makes me happy.
But I also believe that we should eat sweets in a limited amount. This way, we can enjoy the taste and also stay healthy.

It's hard to reduce the intake of sweets uf your body craves for it. More likely it is cone if you consume more fruits which gives a better type of sugar for your body but sweet is sweet and both are bad for the teeth.

Chocolate is a different story since it containes the same chemicals as our body makes if we are in love so it's a natural comfort.

Just eat all the candies, brush your teeth and you are done. Only once an attack on the teeth instead of spreading it over the day/week.

You are very right , but I shared my childhood story, now I do not take chocolate and sweet mostly. Thanks for your response.

But we can reduce or eliminate the urge to eat sugar. I have been able to eliminate it, I have gone up to 5 months without eating sugar in carbohydrates, sweets, fruits, etc. Then I quit the scheme out of boredom and start the cycle again eating fruits, chocolates and etc.

In the end I have a sweet tooth mentality.

It depends on the sugar. Sugar in fruits is dlow digesting and takes longer to feel it but the quality is better than in white sugar and carbohydrates. The last two you "feel" at once but it makes us slow plus the wrong sugars.

Eating out of boredom has nothing to do with a sweet tooth.

At rare times I have, the sae for salt but I prefer salty more although I rarely eat chips, or add salt to my food. Once a doctor said I should eat way more salt. He gave me a mug with salt and I should eat it (with bread or so). That try didn't last long. It made me sick and my heart hurt so he said I should stop. I am better off without and a low blood pressure.

Fructose is the least harmful of the sugars but still, if consumed in excess, it is harmful. It is metabolized in the end in the same way as glucose.

I get bored with diets. Sometimes because of how expensive it is to buy vegetables.

Salt should not be eliminated from meals. Everything in excess damages the systems. We need salt for the body's processes.

Something about that raises a question. Are sweets healthy? If no, then should it be a limited amount or no amount of sweet?

The refined sugar study topics talk about how bad it is to consume these products. I try to reduce the consumption of them when I am the one who prepares these meals with sweets.

Refined sugar is not healthy at all. Honey, not prepared with refined products, is better for human consumption, but for the metabolism of the organism it also causes problems in it.

Yeah, I believe that is becoming a common knowledge for those who check out studies in this field. They say it is better to have your meals without it.

I don't like honey I am allergic to it, besides of the fact real honey is very hard to get with us and and at least 20 times more expensive than sugar. So it's clear to me why people go for sugar instead of honey or sugar that is healthier. The best is to limit is or use fruit or something to make whatever you bake more sweet or simply leave it out.

They have plenty of films and series all you need is a good internet. I saw series one on Netflix.

VIKI Rakuten is great if you like Asian films and series, the app works good, better than Netflix I dare to say, and many are for free.

I saw this website before. They have a big library of movies and series.

Right now, I do not watch TV that much. Maybe, if there was a live event or something..

I haven't been watching TV for at least 20 years and I can't say I miss it. It's mainly commercials and bad journalism. I have bettee things to do than waiting till something interesting shows up.

I think that there is a certain age to enjoying television. You're either young or old. But, this place in the middle is not the type that watches TV.. Or, maybe I am wrong.. But, I don't watch that much TV either.

I think that I have used to have sweet tooth few years back. But, now I do not have that anymore. I used to like chocolate a lot.

On Eid Mubarak, my family was more likely to provide a fair amount of food for the brothers and relatives who came home. At home, I do not provide sweets, but provide syrup drinks.

I am not such a coffee fan either, although I drank it a lot (black) as I was about 15 years old but I don't like the smell. I can drink it with milk or iced coffee (if it's not too cold). I don't add sugar, I am not used to it, In most cases, I drink tea, also without sugar. I don't have a sweet tooth and it wasn't a habit during my childhood to use sugar.
I easily find food too sweet or too salty because I am not used to fast food and like home-cooked meals more than what the average restaurant sells.

We also do not drink syrups, my children don't like. Only on infrequent occasions do I use it like the syrup made from poppies for a sore throat or to sleep well or with salmolina pudding or pie. The only sugar I might use is if I bake a birthday cake or something.
We also rarely drink soda like cola, Fanta or Sprite. Perhaps once per year. We don't like it that much, so there's no need to buy it.

You make the syrups yourself?
Food is a better choice, especially if it's homemade.

It's my belief if we eat what our body needs, there's no craving for sugar (a quick energy) or extra salt. If we crave for something, it means the body misses something.

It turns out that your and your family's habits are almost the same as mine and my family's habits. Like among them, we never drink Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite and drinks that are similar to that.

I used to try making syrup with orange flavor, but maybe I got the recipe wrong so the aroma of the syrup was like the aroma of medicine syrup.. hahaha.. and I never tried it again.

I also prefer to enjoy the food that I cook at home. We only enjoy food outside when we travel.

What happened? Pregnancy. It's not uncommon coffee and meat makes one gag since the smell increases. With me liking coffee never really came back. I still smell very good, way more than other which is at times a burden I can tell you that.
